Man hört ihre Rosse schnauben von Dan her; vom Wiehern ihrer Gäule erbebt das ganze Land. Und sie fahren daher und werden das Land auffressen mit allem, was darin ist, die Stadt samt allen, die darin wohnen.

Die Feinde haben bereits die Stadt Dan erreicht. Schon hören wir das Schnauben und Wiehern ihrer Pferde. Das ganze Land erbebt davon. Die Feinde kommen und werden alles vernichten: unsere Felder und was darauf wächst, unsere Städte und ihre Bewohner!‹

Man hört von Dan her das Schnauben seiner Rosse, vom lauten Wiehern seiner Hengste bebt das ganze Land. Sie kommen und fressen das Land und seine Fülle, die Stadt und ihre Bewohner.
