Ihr Gesicht ist nichts, und ihr Weissagen ist eitel Lügen. Sie sprechen: »Der HERR hat’s gesagt,« so sie doch der HERR nicht gesandt hat, und warten, daß ihr Wort bestehe.

Was ihr als Visionen ausgebt, ist eine Täuschung, und wenn ihr weissagt, lügt ihr! Ihr verkündet: ›So spricht der HERR!‹, obwohl ich euch gar nicht beauftragt habe — und dann erwartet ihr auch noch, dass ich eure Voraussagen eintreffen lasse!

Sie haben nichtige Visionen und falsche Orakel, sie, die da sagen: Spruch des HERRN — obwohl der HERR sie nicht gesandt hat. Trotzdem warten sie darauf, dass er das Wort erfüllt.
