Ich wandte aber meine Hand und ließ es um meines Namens willen, auf daß er nicht entheiligt würde vor den Heiden, vor welchen ich sie hatte ausgeführt.

Aber wieder hielt ich mich zurück und tat es nicht, denn sonst wäre mein Name zum Gespött geworden bei allen Völkern, vor deren Augen ich die Israeliten aus Ägypten herausgeführt hatte.

Doch ich zog meine Hand zurück und handelte um meines Namens willen, damit er nicht entweiht werde vor den Augen der Völker, vor deren Augen ich sie herausgeführt hatte.
