Und der HERR wird zuerst die Hütten Juda’s erretten, auf daß sich nicht hoch rühme das Haus David noch die Bürger zu Jerusalem wider Juda.

Ich, der HERR, schenke zuerst Judas Truppen den Sieg, denn die Nachkommen von David und die Einwohner Jerusalems sollen keinen Grund haben, sich über ihre Landsleute zu erheben.

Dann wird der HERR zuerst die Zelte Judas retten, damit der Stolz des Hauses David und der Stolz der Einwohner Jerusalems nicht zu groß wird gegenüber Juda.
