Siehe, ich will meinen Engel senden, der vor mir her den Weg bereiten soll. Und bald wird kommen zu seinem Tempel der HERR, den ihr suchet; und der Engel des Bundes, des ihr begehret, siehe, er kommt! spricht der HERR Zebaoth.

Der HERR, der allmächtige Gott, antwortet: »Ich schicke meinen Boten voraus, der mein Kommen ankündigt und mir den Weg bereitet. Noch wartet ihr auf den Herrn, ihr wünscht euch den Boten herbei, der meinen Bund mit euch bestätigt. Ich sage euch: Er ist schon unterwegs! Ganz plötzlich werde ich, der Herr, in meinen Tempel einziehen.

Seht, ich sende meinen Boten; er soll den Weg für mich bahnen. Dann kommt plötzlich zu seinem Tempel der Herr, den ihr sucht, und der Bote des Bundes, den ihr herbeiwünscht. Seht, er kommt!, spricht der HERR der Heerscharen.

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. -
