Und Josua kam plötzlich über sie und alles Kriegsvolk mit ihm am Wasser Merom, und überfielen sie.

Josua führte sein Heer unbemerkt zur Quelle Merom, dicht an das feindliche Lager heran, und überraschte die Kanaaniter mit einem Angriff.

Da rückte Josua mit dem ganzen Heer an den Wassern von Merom plötzlich gegen sie vor und überfiel sie.
