So tut nun von euch die fremden Götter, die unter euch sind, und neiget euer Herz zu dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels.

Da forderte Josua sie auf: »Werft alle Götzenfiguren weg, die ihr noch besitzt. Wendet euch von ganzem Herzen dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, zu!«

Schafft also jetzt die fremden Götter ab, die noch bei euch sind, und neigt eure Herzen dem HERRN zu, dem Gott Israels!
