Spät am Abend kam ein alter Mann von der Feldarbeit zurück. Er stammte aus dem Gebirge Ephraim und lebte als Fremder unter den Benjaminitern in Gibea.

Und siehe, ein alter Mann kam am Abend von seiner Arbeit auf dem Feld. Der Mann stammte aus dem Gebirge Efraim und lebte als Fremder in Gibea; die Einwohner des Ortes waren Benjaminiter.
