Des andern Tages kamen die Philister, die Erschlagenen auszuziehen, und fanden Saul und seine drei Söhne liegen auf dem Gebirge Gilboa

Am Tag nach der Schlacht kehrten die Philister noch einmal zum Schlachtfeld auf dem Gilboagebirge zurück, um die Gefallenen auszuplündern. Dabei fanden sie die Leichen von Saul und seinen drei Söhnen, die immer noch dort lagen.

Als am nächsten Tag die Philister kamen, um die Erschlagenen auszuplündern, fanden sie Saul und seine drei Söhne, die auf dem Gebirge von Gilboa gefallen waren.
