Die Leviten aber hoben die Lade des HERRN herab und das Kästlein, das nebendran war, darin die goldenen Kleinode waren, und setzten sie auf den großen Stein. Aber die Leute zu Beth–Semes opferten dem HERRN desselben Tages Brandopfer und andere Opfer.

Einige Männer aus dem Stamm Levi hatten die Bundeslade und das Kästchen mit den goldenen Gegenständen vom Wagen genommen und stellten sie nun auf den Felsblock. An diesem Tag schlachteten die Leute von Bet-Schemesch noch viele Tiere, um sie dem HERRN als Opfer darzubringen.

Die Leviten hatten die Lade des HERRN und die Tasche, die neben ihr stand und in der goldene Gegenstände waren, herabgehoben und auf den großen Stein gestellt. Die Männer von Bet-Schemesch brachten an jenem Tag dem HERRN Brandopfer und Schlachtopfer dar.
