The Lord has swallowed up; He has not spared
All the habitations of Jacob.
In His wrath He has thrown down
The strongholds of the daughter of Judah;
He has brought them down to the ground;
He has profaned the kingdom and its princes.

The Lord hath swallowed up all the habitations of Jacob, and hath not pitied: he hath thrown down in his wrath the strong holds of the daughter of Judah; he hath brought them down to the ground: he hath polluted the kingdom and the princes thereof. -

All the dwelling places of Jacob.

Erbarmungslos hat er die Häuser und Dörfer zerstört, in denen die Nachkommen von Jakob wohnten. Die befestigten Städte Judas hat er niedergerissen und seinem Zorn freien Lauf gelassen. Über das Königreich hat er Schande gebracht und die Mächtigen zu Boden gestürzt.
