“Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD,
“Because your heart is lifted up
And you have said, ‘I am a god,
I sit in the seat of gods
In the heart of the seas’;
Yet you are a man and not God,
Although you make your heart like the heart of God —
-
Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:

“Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:
“ ‘In the pride of your heart
you say, “I am a god;
I sit on the throne of a god
in the heart of the seas.”
But you are a mere mortal and not a god,
though you think you are as wise as a god. -

Menschensohn, sag zum Fürsten von Tyrus: So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Weil sich dein Herz überhoben hat und du sagtest: Ich bin ein Gott, einen Wohnsitz für Götter bewohne ich im Herzen der Meere. Doch du bist ein Mensch und kein Gott, obwohl du dein Herz dem Herzen eines Gottes gleichgestellt hast.
