Als der Wagen bis zum Feld Joschuas von Bet-Schemesch gekommen war, blieb er stehen. Dort lag ein großer Stein. Sie spalteten das Holz des Wagens und brachten die Kühe dem HERRN als Brandopfer dar.

Der Wagen fuhr bis zu einem Feld, das einem Mann namens Joschua aus Bet-Schemesch gehörte. Neben einem großen Felsblock hielt er an. Dort zerhackten die Leute den Wagen und schichteten das Holz auf. Dann schlachteten sie die Kühe und verbrannten sie als Opfer für den HERRN.
