Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, Carry thither one of the priests whom ye brought from thence; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the manner of the God of the land.

Da befahl der König von Assur: Bringt einen von den Priestern zurück, die ihr von dort weggeführt habt! Er soll zu ihnen gehen, bei ihnen wohnen und sie belehren, wie man den Landesgott verehren soll.

Da befahl der König von Assyrien: »Einer der Priester, die aus Samarien hierhergebracht wurden, soll in seine Heimat zurückkehren und wieder dort wohnen. Er soll den Menschen sagen, wie der Gott des Landes verehrt werden möchte!«
