Der Levit Kore, der Sohn Jimnas, der Wächter am Osttor, wachte über die freiwilligen Spenden an Gott, damit die für den HERRN bestimmte Abgabe und das Hochheilige abgeliefert würden.

Der Levit Kore, ein Sohn von Jimna, war Wächter am Osttor und nahm die freiwilligen Gaben für Gott entgegen. Er war dafür verantwortlich, dass die Priester ihren Anteil an diesen Gaben erhielten. Außerdem sorgte er für die gerechte Verteilung des heiligen Opferfleischs, das nur die Priester essen durften.
