The Portion for the Tribes
Now these are the names of the tribes. From the north end to the coast of the way of Hethlon, as one goeth to Hamath, Hazarenan, the border of Damascus northward, to the coast of Hamath; for these are his sides east and west; a portion for Dan. -
Dies sind die Namen der Stämme: von Mitternacht, an dem Wege nach Hethlon, gen Hamath und Hazar–Enon und von Damaskus gegen Hamath, das soll Dan für seinen Teil haben von Morgen bis gen Abend.

The Division of the Land
“These are the tribes, listed by name: At the northern frontier, Dan will have one portion; it will follow the Hethlon road to Lebo Hamath; Hazar Enan and the northern border of Damascus next to Hamath will be part of its border from the east side to the west side. -

»Es folgt eine Liste der Stämme Israels mit ihren jeweiligen Gebieten. Im nördlichsten Teil des Landes liegt das Gebiet des Stammes Dan. Seine Nordgrenze verläuft vom Mittelmeer ostwärts in Richtung der Stadt Hetlon, dann weiter über Lebo-Hamat bis nach Hazar-Enan.
