Gott hatte Abraham versprochen, dass er und seine Nachkommen die ganze Welt zum Besitz erhalten würden. Aber dieses Versprechen gab Gott nicht, weil Abraham das Gesetz erfüllte, sondern weil er Gott unerschütterlich vertraute. Damit fand er Gottes Anerkennung.
