Schließlich konnte es der HERR nicht mehr aushalten wegen der Bosheit eurer Taten und wegen der Gräuel, die ihr verübt habt. Deshalb wurde euer Land zur Öde, zum Entsetzen und zum Fluch, unbewohnt, wie es heute noch ist.

Schließlich konnte der HERR eure Bosheit und euren abscheulichen Götzendienst nicht länger ertragen. Darum hat er euer Land zu einer trostlosen Wüste und zu einem Bild des Schreckens gemacht, so wie es heute ist. Wer einen anderen verfluchen will, wünscht ihm dasselbe Schicksal, das euch getroffen hat.
