The Bible, the Word of God, a collection of sacred texts, is the immutable Truth, contains the commandments of God, is a guide for life and provides answers to the fundamental questions of the universe and the meaning and purpose of human life.

The Bible (Greek βιβλία — plural of βιβλίον — "book", the Word of God — a collection of texts that make up the Holy Scriptures in Christianity. It consists of the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament (Tanakh) is also the sacred text of the Jews.

The Holy Scriptures, or Bible, is a collection of books written by prophets and apostles, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

The main theme of the Holy Scriptures is the salvation of mankind by the Messiah the Savior, the incarnate Son of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. The Old Testament speaks of salvation in the form of prototypes and prophecies about the Messiah and the Kingdom of God. The New Testament sets forth the very implementation of our salvation through the incarnation, life and teaching of the Lord God-man, sealed by His death on the Cross and Resurrection.
