The Vows of the Covenant

And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the doorkeepers, the singers, the Nethinim, and all they that had separated themselves from the peoples of the lands to the law of God, their wives, their sons and their daughters, every one having knowledge [and] having understanding,

— И остальной народ — священники, левиты, привратники, певцы, храмовые слуги и все, кто отделились от чужеземных народов ради Божьего Закона, вместе со своими женами и всеми своими сыновьями и дочерьми, которые способны понимать, —

29

joined with their brethren, their nobles, and entered into a curse and into an oath, to walk in the law of God, which had been given by Moses the servant of God, and to keep and do all the commandments of Jehovah our Lord, and his ordinances and his statutes;

29

все они ныне присоединяются к своим братьям из знати, и связывают себя проклятием и клятвой следовать Закону Господа, данному через Божьего слугу Моисея, и бережно исполнять все повеления, установления и предписания Господа, нашего Владыки.

30

and that we would not give our daughters to the peoples of the land, nor take their daughters for our sons:

Мы обещаем не отдавать своих дочерей в жены народам, которые вокруг нас, и не брать их дочерей за своих сыновей.

31

and that if the peoples of the land brought wares or any grain on the sabbath day to sell, we would not take it of them on the sabbath, or on [any] holy day; and that we would leave [the land uncultivated] the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.

Если народы, которые вокруг нас, принесут на продажу товары или зерно в субботу, мы не станем покупать у них в субботу или в какой-либо другой святой день. Каждый седьмой год мы не будем обрабатывать землю и будем прощать все долги.

32

And we made ordinances for us, to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God,

Мы берем на себя обязательство исполнять повеления о том, чтобы каждый год давать треть шекеля40 на нужды дома нашего Бога:

33

for the bread to be set in rows, and for the continual oblation, and for the continual burnt-offering, [for that] of the sabbaths [and] of the new moons, for the set feasts and for the holy [things], and for the sin-offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and [for] all the work of the house of our God.

33

на священный хлеб, на постоянные хлебные приношения и всесожжения, на приношения в субботу, Новолуние и в установленные праздники, на священные пожертвования, на жертвы за грех, чтобы очищать Израиль, и на все работы в доме нашего Бога.

34

And we cast the lots among the priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood-offering, to bring [it] into the house of our God, according to our fathers' houses, at times appointed year by year, to burn upon the altar of Jehovah our God, as it is written in the law;

Мы, священники, левиты и народ, бросили жребий, чтобы узнать, когда каждая из наших семей должна доставлять дрова в дом нашего Бога в установленные сроки каждый год, чтобы жечь их на жертвеннике Господа, нашего Бога, как написано в Законе.

35

and to bring the first-fruits of our land, and the first-fruits of all fruit of all trees, year by year to the house of Jehovah,

Еще мы берем на себя обязанность каждый год доставлять в дом Господа первые плоды от наших урожаев и от каждого плодового дерева.

36

and the firstborn of our sons and of our cattle, as it is written in the law; and to bring the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks to the house of our God, to the priests that minister in the house of our God;

И как еще написано в Законе, мы будем приводить к служащим там священникам в доме нашего Бога первенцев из наших сыновей и первородное от скота — из наших стад и отар.

37

and that we should bring the first-fruits of our coarse meal and our heave-offerings, and the fruit of all manner of trees, new wine and oil, to the priests, into the chambers of the house of our God, and the tithes of our ground to the Levites, that they, the Levites, should take the tithes in all the cities of our tillage.

Еще мы будем приносить в хранилища дома нашего Бога, к священникам, муку первого помола, наши хлебные приношения от первых плодов, первые плоды всех наших деревьев и нашего молодого вина и масла. Мы будем приносить десятую часть наших урожаев левитам, ведь это левитам надлежит собирать десятую часть во всех городах, где мы обрабатываем землю.

And the priest the son of Aaron shall be with the Levites, when the Levites take tithes; and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, into the chambers of the treasure-house.

38

Когда левиты собирают десятую часть, их должен сопровождать священник, ведущий свой род от Аарона, а левиты должны доставлять десятую часть от десятой части в дом нашего Бога, в комнаты хранилища.

39

For the children of Israel and the children of Levi shall bring the heave-offering of the corn, of the new wine and the oil, into the chambers, where are the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that minister, and the doorkeepers and the singers. And we will not forsake the house of our God.

39

Народ Израиля, включая левитов, должен приносить свои пожертвования зерна, молодого вина и масла в хранилища, где хранятся предметы для святилища и где живут священники, которые находятся на службе, и привратники, а также певцы.
Мы не оставим дом нашего Бога.
