Восхваляй, душа моя, Господа! Господи, Боже мой, Ты велик. Честь и величие — Твоё одеяние.
Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Ты одеваешься светом, словно ризою. Ты распростёр небеса, как шатёр.
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases;
Дворец небесный Свой над водами вознёс, облака — Твоя колесница, Ты летишь на крыльях ветра.
Who redeemeth thy life from the pit, who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies;
Господи, Ты сделал ангелов Своими вестниками, пылающее пламя для Тебя — слуга.
Who satisfieth thine old age with good [things]; thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
Ты, Господи, установил на основании землю, и не рухнет она никогда.
Jehovah executeth righteousness and justice for all that are oppressed.
Землю, как одеялом, водами Ты покрыл, вода покрыла даже горы.
He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
Но отступили воды по Твоему велению, от грома Твоего пустились в бег.
Jehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving-kindness.
С гор они потекли в долины, в места, предназначенные для них Тобой.
He will not always chide, neither will he keep [his anger] for ever.
И Ты воздвиг морям границы, которых им не перейти. И никогда им больше землю не покрыть.
He hath not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
Ты послал источники в долины, с гор текут ручьи.
For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving-kindness toward them that fear him.
Утоляют жажду дикие звери; даже дикий осёл утоляет жажду.
As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Редкие птицы вьют гнёзда вокруг.
As a father pitieth [his] children, so Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.
Дожди Твои напоят горы, плодами дел Твоих насытится земля.
For himself knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
Ты заставил траву расти для скота, заставил растения расти для людей:
As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth:
вино дал для радости, масло — для сияния лиц, дал хлеб Ты для здоровья.
For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone, and the place thereof knoweth it no more.
Кедрам ливанским, Тобой посаженным, даёшь Ты влагу.
But the loving-kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting and to everlasting, upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children,
Птицы вьют на них гнёзда, только аисты выбрали ели.
To such as keep his covenant and to those that remember his precepts to do them.
Высокие горы — дом для диких козлов, скалы — убежище для барсуков.
Jehovah hath established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Господь, Ты дал луну нам для указания смен времён.
Bless Jehovah, ye his angels, mighty in strength, that execute his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
Из темноты Ты сделал ночь. Это время, когда дикие звери выходят на добычу.
Bless Jehovah, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his that do his will.
