Псалом Давида. Прославлятиму Тебе, Господи, від усього мого серця, співатиму Тобі перед ангелами, бо Ти вислухав слова моїх уст.
We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
Поклонюся до Твого святого храму і прославлю Твоє Ім’я за Твою милість і Твою правду, бо Ти звеличив Своє слово понад усяке ім’я.
For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that made us wail [required] mirth, [saying,] Sing us [one] of the songs of Zion.
Того дня, як я закличу до Тебе, невідкладно вислухай мене: Ти потурбуєшся про силу моєї душі.
How should we sing a song of Jehovah's upon a foreign soil?
Хай прославлять Тебе, Господи, усі царі землі, бо всі чули слова Твоїх уст;
If I forget thee, Jerusalem, let my right hand forget [its skill];
тож хай співають на дорогах Господніх, бо велика слава Господня!
If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to my palate: if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
Адже високо Господь: і на понижене Він споглядає, і горде здалека впізнає.
Remember, O Jehovah, against the sons of Edom, the day of Jerusalem; who said, Lay [it] bare, Lay [it] bare, down to its foundation!
Якщо я піду серед біди, Ти держатимеш при житті мене. На злобу моїх ворогів простягнув Ти Свою руку, — Твоя правиця спасла мене.
