Darby Bible Translation

English Standard Version

  • Vindicate Me, O Lord

    {[A Psalm] of David.} Judge me, O Jehovah, for I have walked in mine integrity, and I have confided in Jehovah: I shall not slip.
  • I Will Bless the Lord

    Of David.

    Vindicate me, O Lord,
    for I have walked in my integrity,
    and I have trusted in the Lord without wavering.
  • Prove me, Jehovah, and test me; try my reins and my heart:
  • Prove me, O Lord, and try me;
    test my heart and my mind.a
  • For thy loving-kindness is before mine eyes, and I have walked in thy truth.
  • For your steadfast love is before my eyes,
    and I walk in your faithfulness.
  • I have not sat with vain persons, neither have I gone in with dissemblers;
  • I do not sit with men of falsehood,
    nor do I consort with hypocrites.
  • I have hated the congregation of evil-doers, and I have not sat with the wicked.
  • I hate the assembly of evildoers,
    and I will not sit with the wicked.
  • I will wash my hands in innocency, and will encompass thine altar, O Jehovah,
  • I wash my hands in innocence
    and go around your altar, O Lord,
  • That I may cause the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and declare all thy marvellous works.
  • proclaiming thanksgiving aloud,
    and telling all your wondrous deeds.
  • Jehovah, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy glory dwelleth.
  • O Lord, I love the habitation of your house
    and the place where your glory dwells.
  • Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with men of blood;
  • Do not sweep my soul away with sinners,
    nor my life with bloodthirsty men,
  • In whose hands are evil devices, and their right hand is full of bribes.
  • in whose hands are evil devices,
    and whose right hands are full of bribes.
  • But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity. Redeem me, and be gracious unto me.
  • But as for me, I shall walk in my integrity;
    redeem me, and be gracious to me.
  • My foot standeth in an even place; in the congregations will I bless Jehovah.
  • My foot stands on level ground;
    in the great assembly I will bless the Lord.
