Restoration Promised Again

And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still shut up in the court of the prison, saying,

1

Весть от Господа пришла к Иеремии ещё раз, когда он был в темнице.

Thus saith Jehovah the doer of it, Jehovah that formeth it to establish it, Jehovah is his name:

Господь сотворил землю и заботится о её безопасности. Имя Того, Кто создал землю, — Господь. Господь говорит:

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and I will shew thee great and hidden things, which thou knowest not.

"Иудея, молись Мне, и Я отвечу тебе. Я открою тебе тайну, которой ты не знала раньше.

4

For thus saith Jehovah the God of Israel concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down because of the mounds and because of the sword:

Господь, Бог Израиля, говорит это о домах в Иерусалиме и о царских дворцах Иудеи: враг разрушит эти дома и дворцы и поставит валы на городских стенах. Враг мечом покорит эти города.

5

They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but to fill them with the dead bodies of the men whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city.

Жители Иерусалима творят много беззаконий. Я разгневан и отвернулся от них, поэтому Я многих лишу жизни. Вавилонская армия придёт воевать с Иерусалимом, и в иерусалимских домах будет много мёртвых тел.

Behold, I will apply a healing dressing to it and cure, and I will heal them, and will reveal unto them an abundance of peace and truth.

Но затем Я излечу этих людей и позволю им наслаждаться покоем и миром.

7

And I will turn the captivity of Judah and the captivity of Israel, and will build them, as at the beginning.

Я снова принесу добро Израилю и Иудее, Я сделаю этих людей сильными, как прежде.

And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me, and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned against me, and whereby they have transgressed against me.

Они грешили против Меня, но Я смою эти грехи. Они восставали против Меня, но Я их прощу.

9

And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and a glory before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear of all the good that I do unto them; and they shall fear and tremble for all the good and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

Иерусалим снова будет прекрасным местом, и другие народы будут его восхвалять. Это произойдёт, когда все люди узнают о тех благах, которые будут в Иерусалиме. Они устрашатся, когда увидят то, что Я делаю для Иерусалима.

Thus saith Jehovah: In this place of which ye say, It is waste, without man and without beast! in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast,

Вы говорите, что ваша страна — бесплодная пустыня, где нет ни животных, ни людей, и тихо теперь на улицах Иерусалима и во всех городах Иудеи. Но скоро там будет шумно:

there shall again be heard the voice of mirth and the voice of joy, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that say, Give ye thanks unto Jehovah of hosts; for Jehovah is good, for his loving-kindness [endureth] for ever, -- of them that bring thanksgiving unto the house of Jehovah. For I will turn the captivity of the land as in the beginning, saith Jehovah.

опять будут слышны звуки радости и счастья, счастливые голоса женихов и невест, голоса людей, несущих дары в храм Господа. Эти люди скажут: "Хвалите Всемогущего Господа, Он добр, и доброта Его на веки вечные". Так скажут люди потому, что Я снова принесу добро народу Иудеи. Я сделаю их такими, какими они были прежде".

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: In this place which is waste, without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, there shall again be a habitation of shepherds causing [their] flocks to lie down.

Господь Всемогущий говорит: "Это место теперь опустело — нет там ни людей, ни животных — но люди заселят города Иудеи, и пастухи приведут свои стада на мирные пастбища.

13

In the cities of the hill-country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the environs of Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that counteth [them], saith Jehovah.

Пастухи будут пересчитывать овец, когда те проходят перед ними, и весь народ будет повсюду считать овец: и в холмистых местах, и в западных предгорьях, и в Нигеве, и во всех других городах".

14

The Covenant with David

Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will perform the good word which I have spoken unto the house of Israel and unto the house of Judah.

Вот весть от Господа: "Я дал обещание народам Израиля и Иудеи — приходит время Мне его исполнить.

15

In those days, and at that time, will I cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

15

Время настанет, и Я выращу добрую отрасль из рода Давида. Она принесёт всей стране праведность и добро.

16

In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell in safety. And this is the name wherewith she shall be called: Jehovah our Righteousness.

16

В те времена спасутся люди Иудеи и будет мирно жить Иерусалим. "Господь — праведность наша" — таково имя этой отрасли".

17

For thus saith Jehovah: There shall never fail to David a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel;

Господь говорит: "Человек из рода Давида будет всегда сидеть на троне и управлять семьёй Израиля.

18

neither shall there fail to the priests the Levites a man before me to offer up burnt-offerings, and to burn oblations, and to do sacrifice continually.

18

И всегда будут священники из рода Левия, которые будут стоять передо Мною и подносить всесожжения и дары зерна".

19

And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying,

И пришла к Иеремии весть от Господа.

20

Thus saith Jehovah: If ye can break my covenant [in respect] of the day, and my covenant [in respect] of the night, so that there should not be day and night in their season,

20

Господь сказал: "Есть у Меня завет о дне и о ночи, чтобы конца им не было вовеки. Ты этого не можешь изменить — и день, и ночь всегда будут наступать в своё время. Если бы ты смог изменить это,

21

[then] shall also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites, the priests, my ministers.

21

тогда ты смог бы изменить завет Мой с Давидом и левитами, и потомки Давида не были бы царями, и потомки Левия не были бы священниками.

22

As the host of the heavens cannot be numbered, nor the sand of the sea measured, so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

22

Но Я дам большое потомство слуге Моему Давиду и роду Левия. Их будет столько, сколько звёзд в небе, которые не счесть; столько, сколько песка морского, который неизмерим".

23

And the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah, saying,

Иеремия услышал весть от Господа.

24

Hast thou not seen what this people have spoken, saying, The two families that Jehovah had chosen, he hath even cast them off? And they despise my people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

24

Господь сказал: "Иеремия, слышал ли ты, как люди говорят о том, что Господь отвернулся от двух народов: от Израиля и Иудеи. Они говорят, что Господь выбрал этих людей, но сейчас Он даже не считает их народом".

25

Thus saith Jehovah: If my covenant of day and night [stand] not, if I have not appointed the ordinances of the heavens and the earth,

Господь сказал: "Если бы Мои заветы о дне и о ночи не продолжились, и Я бы не сотворил законы для неба и для земли, тогда, возможно, Я бы покинул этих людей.

26

[then] will I also cast away the seed of Jacob, and of David my servant, so as not to take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will turn their captivity, and will have mercy on them.

Тогда Я отвернулся бы от потомков Иакова и не позволил бы потомкам Давида править потомками Авраама, Исаака и Иоакова. Я буду милосерден к этому народу и вновь пошлю им добро".
