The Oil for the Lamps

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

І рече Господь Мойсейові:

Command the children of Israel that they bring unto thee pure beaten olive oil for the light, to light the lamp continually.

Скажи синам Ізрайлевим принести тобі олїї оливної, забиваної, чистої на сьвітло, щоб без перестанку горіли лямпи.

3

Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, shall Aaron dress it from evening to morning before Jehovah continually: [it is] an everlasting statute throughout your generations.

З надвору завіси сьвідчення в соборному наметї ставляти ме їх Арон з вечора до ранку перед Господом повсячасно: установа віковічня в роди ваші.

4

Upon the pure candlestick shall he arrange the lamps before Jehovah continually.

4

На сьвітильнику чистому ставляти ме лямпи перед Господом повсячасно.

5

The Showbread

And thou shalt take fine wheaten flour, and bake twelve cakes thereof; each cake shall be of two tenths.

5

І візьмеш муки пшеничної та й спечеш із неї дванайцять коржів; по дві десятинї ефи нехай буде в одному коржі.

And thou shalt set them in two rows, six in a row, upon the pure table before Jehovah.

6

І покладеш їх двома рядами, по шість до ряду, на чистому столї перед Господом.

7

And thou shalt put pure frankincense upon each row; and it shall be a bread of remembrance, an offering by fire to Jehovah.

7

І класти меш на кожен ряд їх ладан чистий, щоб на хлїбі він був часткою на спомин, на огняну жертву Господеві.

8

Every sabbath day he shall arrange it before Jehovah continually, on the part of the children of Israel: [it is] an everlasting covenant.

8

Що соботи приготовляти ме його перед Господом од синів Ізрайлевих на ознаку віковічнього завіту.

9

And it shall be Aaron's and his sons'; and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy unto him of Jehovah's offerings by fire: [it is] an everlasting statute.

І буде він Аронові й синам його, і їсти муть вони його в сьвятому місцї; бо се про них сьвята над сьвяту із огняних жертов Господнїх: установа віковічня.

10

Shelomith's Son Blasphemes

And the son of an Israelitish woman -- but withal the son of an Egyptian, -- went out among the children of Israel; and this son of the Israelitess and a man of Israel strove together in the camp;

І вийшов син якоїсь Ізраїльки; се був син одного Египтїя посеред синів Ізрайлевих, і почав сваритись в таборі син Ізраїльки з одним чоловіком Ізраїльським.

11

and the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. And his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

І хулив син Ізраїльської жінки імя Боже, та й кляв його. І приведено його до Мойсея. Імя матери його Селомита Дибріївна, з роду Данового.

12

And they confined him, that they might decide at the mouth of Jehovah.

І віддано його під сторожу, щоб обявлено їм волю Господню.

13

And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

І рече Господь Мойсейові:

14

Lead the reviler outside the camp; and all that heard [him] shall lay their hands upon his head, and the whole assembly shall stone him.

14

Виведи поганьця геть з табору, і нехай усї хто чув, покладуть руки свої на голову йому, та й нехай вся громада вбє каміннєм його.

15

And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Every one when he revileth his God shall bear his sin.

15

До синів же Ізрайлевих промовиш і скажеш: Хто б то нї був, що клясти ме Бога свого, гріх свій він нести ме.

16

And he that blasphemeth the name of Jehovah shall certainly be put to death; all the assembly shall certainly stone him; as well the stranger as he that is home-born, when he blasphemeth the Name, shall be put to death.

А хто хулить імя Господнє, того зараз скарати смертю, уся громада мусить окаменувати його; чи приходень, чи землянин: як скаже хулу на імя Господнє, мусить вмерти.

17

An Eye for an Eye

And if any one smiteth any man mortally, he shall certainly be put to death.

17

І хто вбє яку людину, і того скарати смертю.

18

And he that smiteth a beast mortally shall make it good, life for life.

18

А хто вбив скотину, мусить вернути за неї: життя за життя.

19

And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour, as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;

19

І хто вшкодить ближнього свого, що він учинив, те й йому нехай учинять.

20

breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him.

20

Перелом за перелом, око за око, зуб за зуб: як він ушкодив людинї, так і йому нехай ушкодять.

21

He that smiteth a beast [mortally] shall make it good; and he that smiteth a man [mortally] shall be put to death.

21

Тим же то хто вбив скотину, мусить вернути за неї, а хто вбив людину, мусить бути вбитий.

22

Ye shall have one law: as the stranger, so the home-born; for I am Jehovah your God.

22

Одно право буде в вас, як для приходня, так і для землянина; я бо Господь, Бог ваш.

23

And Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they led the reviler outside the camp and stoned him with stones. And the children of Israel did as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

23

І промовив Мойсей синам Ізрайлевим, що мусять вони вивести поганця геть із табору та й закидати каміннєм; і вчинили сини Ізрайлеві так, як заповідав Господь Мойсейові.
