Jesus Washes the Disciples' Feet
Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end.

Перед святом же Пасхи Ісус, знавши, що настала годи́на Йому́ перейти до Отця з цього світу, полюбивши Своїх, що на світі були́, до кінця полюбив їх.
And during supper, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas [son] of Simon, Iscariote, that he should deliver him up,
Під час же вече́рі, як диявол уже був укинув у серце синові Си́мона — Юді Іскаріотському, щоб він видав Його́,
[Jesus,] knowing that the Father had given him all things into his hands, and that he came out from God and was going to God,
то Ісус, знавши те, що Отець віддав все Йому в руки, і що від Бога прийшов Він, і до Бога відходить,
rises from supper and lays aside his garments, and having taken a linen towel he girded himself:
устає від вечері, і здіймає одежу, бере рушника́ й підпері́зується.
then he pours water into the washhand basin, and began to wash the feet of the disciples, and to wipe them with the linen towel with which he was girded.
Пото́му налив Він води до вмива́льниці, та й зачав обмивати ноги учням, і витирати рушнико́м, що ним був підпере́заний.
He comes therefore to Simon Peter; and *he* says to him, Lord, dost thou wash *my* feet?
І підходить до Си́мона Петра, а той каже Йому: „Ти, Господи, ми́тимеш но́ги мені?“
Jesus answered and said to him, What I do thou dost not know now, but thou shalt know hereafter.
Ісус відказав і промовив йому: „Що́ Я роблю́, ти не знаєш тепер, але опісля́ зрозумієш“.
Peter says to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, Unless I wash thee, thou hast not part with me.
Говорить до Нього Петро: „Ти повік мені ніг не обмиєш!“ Ісус відповів йому: „Коли́ Я не вмию тебе, — ти не матимеш частки зо Мною“.
Simon Peter says to him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
До Нього проказує Си́мон Петро: „Господи, — не самі мої но́ги, а й руки та го́лову!“
Jesus says to him, He that is washed all over needs not to wash save his feet, but is wholly clean; and ye are clean, but not all.
Ісус каже йому: „Хто обмитий, тільки но́ги обмити потребу́є, бо він чистий увесь. І ви чисті, — та не всі“.
For he knew him that delivered him up: on account of this he said, Ye are not all clean.
Бо Він знав Свого зра́дника, тому то сказав: „Ви чисті не всі“.
When therefore he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, having sat down again, he said to them, Do ye know what I have done to you?
Коли ж пообмива́в їхні но́ги, і одежу Свою Він надів, засів зно́ву за стіл і промовив до них: „Чи знаєте ви, що́ Я зробив вам?
Ye call me the Teacher and the Lord, and ye say well, for I am [so].
Ви Мене називаєте: Учитель і Госпо́дь, — і добре ви кажете, бо Я є.
If I therefore, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet;
А коли обмив ноги вам Я, Госпо́дь і Вчитель, то повинні й ви один о́дному ноги вмивати.
for I have given you an example that, as I have done to you, ye should do also.
Бо то Я вам при́клада дав, щоб і ви те чинили, як Я вам учинив.
Verily, verily, I say to you, The bondman is not greater than his lord, nor the sent greater than he who has sent him.
Поправді, поправді кажу́ вам: Раб не більший за пана свого́, послане́ць же не більший від того, хто вислав його.
If ye know these things, blessed are ye if ye do them.
Коли знаєте це, то блаженні ви, якщо таке чините!
Jesus Predicts His Betrayal
I speak not of you all. I know those whom I have chosen; but that the scripture might be fulfilled, He that eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.

Не про всіх вас кажу́. Знаю Я, кого вибрав, але щоб збуло́ся Писа́ння: „Хто хліб споживає зо Мною, підняв той на Мене п'яту́ свою!“
I tell you [it] now before it happens, that when it happens, ye may believe that I am [he].
Уже тепер вам кажу́, перше ніж те настане, щоб як станеться, ви ввірували, що то Я.
Verily, verily, I say to you, He who receives whomsoever I shall send receives me; and he that receives me receives him who has sent me.
Поправді, поправді кажу́ вам: Хто приймає Мого посланця́, той приймає Мене; хто ж приймає Мене, той приймає Того, Хто послав Мене!“
Having said these things, Jesus was troubled in spirit, and testified and said, Verily, verily, I say to you, that one of you shall deliver me up.
Промовивши це, затривожився духом Ісус, і осві́дчив, говорячи: „Поправді, поправді кажу́ вам, що один із вас видасть Мене!“
The disciples therefore looked one on another, doubting of whom he spoke.
І озиралися учні один на одно́го, непевними бувши, про кого Він каже.
Now there was at table one of his disciples in the bosom of Jesus, whom Jesus loved.
При столі, при Ісусовім лоні, був один з Його учнів, якого любив Ісус.
Simon Peter makes a sign therefore to him to ask who it might be of whom he spoke.
От цьому кивну́в Си́мон Петро та й шепну́в: „Запитай, — хто б то був, що про нього Він каже?“
But he, leaning on the breast of Jesus, says to him, Lord, who is it?
І, пригорну́вшись до ло́ня Ісусового, той говорить до Нього: „Хто́ це, Господи?“
Jesus answers, He it is to whom I, after I have dipped the morsel, give it. And having dipped the morsel, he gives it to Judas [son] of Simon, Iscariote.
Ісус же відказує: „Це той, кому, умочивши, подам Я куска́“. І, вмочивши куска́, подав синові Си́мона, — Юді Іскаріо́тському!
And, after the morsel, then entered Satan into him. Jesus therefore says to him, What thou doest, do quickly.
За тим же куско́м тоді в нього ввійшов сатана́. А Ісус йому каже: „Що́ ти робиш — роби швидше“.
But none of those at table knew why he said this to him;
Але жоден із тих, хто був при столі, того не зрозумів, до чо́го сказав Він йому.
for some supposed, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus was saying to him, Buy the things of which we have need for the feast; or that he should give something to the poor.
А тому́, що тримав Юда скриньку на гроші, то деякі ду́мали, ніби каже до нього Ісус: „Купи, що потрібно на свято для нас“, або щоб убогим подав що.
Having therefore received the morsel, he went out immediately; and it was night.
А той, узявши кусок хліба, зараз вийшов. Була ж ніч.
A New Command I Give You
When therefore he was gone out Jesus says, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
When therefore he was gone out Jesus says, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
Тоді, як він вийшов, промовляє Ісус: „Тепер ось просла́вивсь Син Лю́дський, і в Ньому просла́вився Бог.
If God be glorified in him, God also shall glorify him in himself, and shall glorify him immediately.
Коли в Ньому прославився Бог, то і Його Бог просла́вить у Собі, і зараз прославить Його!
Children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me; and, as I said to the Jews, Where I go ye cannot come, I say to you also now.
Мої дітоньки, не довго вже бути Мені з вами! Ви шукати Мене будете, але́ — як сказав Я юдеям: „Куди Я йду, туди ви прибути не можете“, — те й вам говорю́ Я тепер.
A new commandment I give to you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Нову́ заповідь Я вам даю: Любіть один о́дного! Як Я вас полюбив, так любіть один о́дного й ви!
By this shall all know that ye are disciples of mine, if ye have love amongst yourselves.
По то́му пізнають усі, що ви учні Мої, як бу́дете мати любов між собою“.
Jesus Predicts Peter's Denial
Simon Peter says to him, Lord, where goest thou? Jesus answered him, Where I go thou canst not follow me now, but thou shalt follow me after.

А Симон Петро Йому каже: „Куди, Господи, ідеш Ти?“ Ісус відповів: „Куди Я йду, туди ти́ тепер іти за Мною не можеш, але по́тім ти підеш за Мною“.
Peter says to him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thee.
Говорить до Нього Петро: „Чому, Господи, іти за Тобою тепер я не мо́жу? За Те́бе я душу свою́ покладу́!“
