Bear One Another's Burdens

Brethren, if even a man be taken in some fault, ye who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself lest *thou* also be tempted.

Брати! Коли б хтось попав у якусь провину, то ви, духовні, такого наставляйте духом лагідности, пильнуючи себе самого, щоб і собі не впасти у спокусу.

Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfil the law of the Christ.

Носіте тягарі один одного й тим робом виконаєте закон Христа.

For if any man reputes himself to be something, being nothing, he deceives himself;

Коли хто думає, що він є щось, бувши нічим, — обманює себе самого.

but let each prove his own work, and then he will have his boast in what belongs to himself alone, and not in what belongs to another.

Кожний нехай добре перевіряє своє діло і, якщо він знайде, чим хвалитися перед самим собою, то вже ніяк не перед іншими:

For each shall bear his own burden.

кожний бо власний тягар понесе.

Let him that is taught in the word communicate to him that teaches in all good things.

Нехай учень ділиться всяким добром з тим, хто його навчає слова.

Be not deceived: God is not mocked; for whatever a man shall sow, that also shall he reap.

Не обманюйте себе самих: з Богом жартувати не можна. Що хто посіє, те й жатиме.

8

For he that sows to his own flesh, shall reap corruption from the flesh; but he that sows to the Spirit, from the Spirit shall reap eternal life:

Хто бо для свого тіла сіє, той з тіла пожне зотління; а хто сіє для духа, той від духа пожне життя вічне.

9

but let us not lose heart in doing good; for in due time, if we do not faint, we shall reap.

Робімо добро без утоми: своєчасно, як не ослабнемо, жатимемо.

10

So then, as we have occasion, let us do good towards all, and specially towards those of the household of faith.

Отож, поки маємо час, робімо добро всім, а зокрема рідним у вірі.

Paul's Final Warning

See how long a letter I have written to you with my own hand.

Гляньте, якими буквами пишу вам власною рукою.

As many as desire to have a fair appearance in [the] flesh, these compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not be persecuted because of the cross of Christ.

Ті, що хочуть показатися гарними тілом, — вони силують вас обрізатися, щоб тільки уникнути переслідування за хрест Христа.

13

For neither do they that are circumcised themselves keep the law; but they wish you to be circumcised, that they may boast in your flesh.

Бо й самі обрізані, не додержують закону, а хочуть, щоб ви обрізувалися, щоб їм хвалитися вашим тілом.

But far be it from me to boast save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom [the] world is crucified to me, and I to the world.

Мене ж не доведи, Боже, чимсь хвалитися, як тільки хрестом Господа нашого Ісуса Христа, яким для мене світ розп'ятий, а я — світові;

15

For [in Christ Jesus] neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision; but new creation.

бо ані обрізання, ані необрізання є щось, лише — нове створіння.

Benediction

And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace upon them and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

На тих, які поступають за цим правилом, мир на них і милосердя, а й на Ізраїля Божого.

For the rest let no one trouble me, for *I* bear in my body the brands of the Lord Jesus.

На майбутнє нехай ніхто мені не завдає клопоту, бо я ношу на моїм тілі рани Ісуса.

18

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with your spirit, brethren. Amen.
