Reiß mich heraus aus dem Rachen der Löwen und beschütze mich vor den Hörnern dieser wilden Stiere! Und tatsächlich, Herr: Du hast mich erhört!

Ich will meinen Brüdern deinen Namen bekannt machen, vor der ganzen Gemeinde will ich dich loben.

Denn er hat den Hilflosen nicht verachtet, über sein Elend ging er nicht hinweg. Nein, Gott wandte sich nicht von ihm ab, sondern hörte auf ihn, als er um Hilfe schrie.
HERR, jetzt habe ich allen Grund, dir vor der großen Gemeinde ein Loblied zu singen. Was ich dir in meiner Not versprochen habe, löse ich nun ein; alle, die Ehrfurcht vor dir haben, sind meine Zeugen.

Die Armen sollen sich wieder satt essen. Alle, die nach dem HERRN fragen, sollen ihn loben. Euer Leben lang dürft ihr euch daran freuen!

Auch in den fernsten Ländern werden Menschen Gott erkennen und zu ihm umkehren, ja, alle Völker werden sich vor ihm niederwerfen.

Auch die Großen dieser Erde müssen vor ihm niederfallen, sie, die immer mehr als genug zu essen hatten. Ja, vor ihm werden einmal alle Menschen ihre Knie beugen, alle Sterblichen, denen das Leben zwischen den Fingern zerrinnt.
