New King James Version

  • Lead Me in Your Righteousness

    To the choirmaster: for the flutes. A Psalm of David.

    Give ear to my words, O Lord;
    consider my groaning.
  • A Prayer for Guidance

    To the Chief Musician. With [a]flutes. A Psalm of David.

    Give ear to my words, O Lord,
    Consider my [b]meditation.
  • Give attention to the sound of my cry,
    my King and my God,
    for to you do I pray.
  • Give heed to the voice of my cry,
    My King and my God,
    For to You I will pray.
  • O Lord, in the morning you hear my voice;
    in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for youa and watch.
  • My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
    In the morning I will direct it to You,
    And I will look up.
  • For you are not a God who delights in wickedness;
    evil may not dwell with you.
  • For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness,
    Nor shall evil [c]dwell with You.
  • The boastful shall not stand before your eyes;
    you hate all evildoers.
  • The boastful shall not stand in Your sight;
    You hate all workers of iniquity.
  • You destroy those who speak lies;
    the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
  • You shall destroy those who speak falsehood;
    The Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
  • But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love,
    will enter your house.
    I will bow down toward your holy temple
    in the fear of you.
  • But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy;
    In fear of You I will worship toward [d]Your holy temple.
  • Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness
    because of my enemies;
    make your way straight before me.
  • Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies;
    Make Your way straight before my face.
  • For there is no truth in their mouth;
    their inmost self is destruction;
    their throat is an open grave;
    they flatter with their tongue.
  • For there is no [e]faithfulness in their mouth;
    Their inward part is destruction;
    Their throat is an open tomb;
    They flatter with their tongue.
  • Make them bear their guilt, O God;
    let them fall by their own counsels;
    because of the abundance of their transgressions cast them out,
    for they have rebelled against you.
  • Pronounce them guilty, O God!
    Let them fall by their own counsels;
    Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions,
    For they have rebelled against You.
  • But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;
    let them ever sing for joy,
    and spread your protection over them,
    that those who love your name may exult in you.
  • But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
    Let them ever shout for joy, because You [f]defend them;
    Let those also who love Your name
    Be joyful in You.
  • For you bless the righteous, O Lord;
    you cover him with favor as with a shield.
  • For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
    With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
