“Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil from beaten olives for the lamp, that a light may be kept burning regularly.
Befiehl den Israeliten, dass sie dir für den Leuchter reines Öl aus zerstoßenen Oliven bringen, damit man ständig eine Lampe brennen lassen kann!
Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall arrange it from evening to morning before the Lord regularly. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.
Im Offenbarungszelt, vor dem Vorhang vor dem Bundeszeugnis, soll Aaron diese Lampe aufstellen. Sie soll hier vor dem HERRN ständig vom Abend bis zum Morgen brennen. Das gelte bei euch als ewige Satzung für eure Generationen.
Aaron soll die Lampen auf dem reinen Leuchter vor dem HERRN ständig in Ordnung halten.
Du sollst Weizenfeinmehl nehmen und daraus zwölf Kuchen backen; aus zwei Zehntel Efa Weizenfeinmehl soll jeder einzelne Kuchen zubereitet sein.
Dann sollst du sie in zwei Schichten, sechs in jeder Schicht, auf den reinen Tisch vor den HERRN legen.
And you shall put pure frankincense on each pile, that it may go with the bread as a memorial portion as a food offering to the Lord.
Auf jede Schicht sollst du reinen Weihrauch tun; er soll der Gedächtnisanteil des Brotes sein, ein Feueropfer für den HERRN.
Every Sabbath day Aaron shall arrange it before the Lord regularly; it is from the people of Israel as a covenant forever.
Stets, Sabbat für Sabbat, soll man die Brote vor den HERRN hinlegen als ewiger Bund vonseiten der Israeliten.
And it shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place, since it is for him a most holy portion out of the Lord’s food offerings, a perpetual due.”
Sie gehören Aaron und seinen Söhnen, die sie an einem heiligen Ort essen sollen; denn sie sind für ihn etwas Hochheiliges von den Feueropfern des HERRN — ein ewiges Gesetz.
Punishment for Blasphemy
Now an Israelite woman’s son, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the people of Israel. And the Israelite woman’s son and a man of Israel fought in the camp,

Der Sohn einer Israelitin und eines Ägypters ging unter die Israeliten. Im Lager geriet er in Streit mit einem Mann, der Israelit war.
and the Israelite woman’s son blasphemed the Name, and cursed. Then they brought him to Moses. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.
Der Sohn der Israelitin schmähte den Gottesnamen und fluchte. Da brachten sie ihn zu Mose. Der Name der Mutter war Schelomit; sie war die Tochter Dibris aus dem Stamm Dan.
And they put him in custody, till the will of the Lord should be clear to them.
Man nahm ihn in Gewahrsam, um auf ein Wort des HERRN hin zu entscheiden.
“Bring out of the camp the one who cursed, and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
Lass den, der den Fluch ausgesprochen hat, aus dem Lager hinausführen! Alle, die es gehört haben, sollen ihm ihre Hände auf den Kopf legen; dann soll ihn die ganze Gemeinde steinigen.
And speak to the people of Israel, saying, Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.
Sag den Israeliten: Jeder, der seinem Gott flucht, muss die Folgen seiner Sünde tragen.
Whoever blasphemes the name of the Lord shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him. The sojourner as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.
Wer den Namen des HERRN schmäht, hat den Tod verdient; die ganze Gemeinde wird ihn steinigen. Das gilt für den Fremden ebenso wie für den Einheimischen: Wenn er den Gottesnamen schmäht, wird er getötet werden.
An Eye for an Eye
“Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death.
“Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death.
Wer einen Menschen erschlägt, hat den Tod verdient.
Whoever takes an animal’s life shall make it good, life for life.
Wer ein Stück Vieh erschlägt, muss es ersetzen: Leben für Leben.
If anyone injures his neighbor, as he has done it shall be done to him,
Wenn jemand einen Mitbürger verletzt, soll man ihm antun, was er getan hat:
fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; whatever injury he has given a person shall be given to him.
Bruch für Bruch, Auge für Auge, Zahn für Zahn. Der Schaden, den er einem Menschen zugefügt hat, soll ihm zugefügt werden.
Whoever kills an animal shall make it good, and whoever kills a person shall be put to death.
Wer ein Stück Vieh erschlägt, muss es ersetzen; wer aber einen Menschen erschlägt, wird getötet.
You shall have the same rule for the sojourner and for the native, for I am the Lord your God.”
Gleiches Recht soll bei euch für den Fremden wie für den Einheimischen gelten; denn ich bin der HERR, euer Gott.
So Moses spoke to the people of Israel, and they brought out of the camp the one who had cursed and stoned him with stones. Thus the people of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.
Nachdem Mose so zu den Israeliten gesprochen hatte, führten sie den, der den Fluch ausgesprochen hatte, aus dem Lager hinaus und steinigten ihn. Sie erfüllten es so, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte.
