“Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into the land you are to inhabit, which I am giving you,
»Eines Tages werde ich diesem Volk das versprochene Land geben, und ihr werdet dort leben. Sag den Israeliten, dass sie dann diese Anweisungen beachten sollen:
Immer wenn ihr mir ein Rind, eine Ziege oder ein Schaf als Brand- oder Schlachtopfer darbringt, dann sollt ihr eineinhalb Kilogramm feines Weizenmehl, mit einem Liter Öl vermengt, als Speiseopfer dazugeben, ganz gleich ob ihr damit ein Gelübde erfüllt, ob ihr es freiwillig darbringt oder mich bei euren Festen mit einem wohlriechenden Opfer erfreuen wollt.
and you shall offer with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, a quarter of a hin of wine for the drink offering for each lamb.
Wer ein Schaf opfert, soll dazu ein Trankopfer von einem Liter Wein darbringen.
Or for a ram, you shall offer for a grain offering two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil.
Wer einen Schafbock opfert, soll zweieinhalb Kilogramm Mehl dazutun, vermengt mit anderthalb Litern Öl.
And for the drink offering you shall offer a third of a hin of wine, a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
Und als Trankopfer soll er eineinhalb Liter Wein geben. Dann wird sein Opfer mir gefallen.
And when you offer a bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, to fulfill a vow or for peace offerings to the Lord,
Wenn jemand von euch ein Rind darbringt, soll er ein Trankopfer von zwei Litern Wein dazugeben und ein Speiseopfer von vier Kilogramm Mehl, das mit zwei Litern Öl vermengt ist. An solch einer wohlriechenden Gabe habe ich meine Freude. Diese Vorschrift gilt unabhängig davon, ob er das Rind als Brand- oder Schlachtopfer darbringt, ob es für ein Friedensopfer gedacht ist oder ob er damit ein Gelübde erfüllt.
“Thus it shall be done for each bull or ram, or for each lamb or young goat.
Dies alles sollt ihr jedes Mal tun, wenn ihr ein Rind, einen Schafbock, ein Schaf oder eine Ziege opfert.
As many as you offer, so shall you do with each one, as many as there are.
Bringt ihr mehrere Tiere dar, dann gehören zu jedem Tier die entsprechenden Speise- und Trankopfer.
Every native Israelite shall do these things in this way, in offering a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord.
Diese Vorschriften soll jeder Israelit beachten, der mir zu Ehren ein Brandopfer darbringt. Dann wird mir sein Opfer gefallen.
And if a stranger is sojourning with you, or anyone is living permanently among you, and he wishes to offer a food offering, with a pleasing aroma to the Lord, he shall do as you do.
Auch die Ausländer, die unter euch leben oder bei euch zu Gast sind, sollen sich daran halten, wenn sie mir ein Tier opfern.
For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you, a statute forever throughout your generations. You and the sojourner shall be alike before the Lord.
Für alle, die im Land Kanaan leben — ob Einheimische oder Ausländer —, sollen die gleichen Gesetze gelten. Dies gilt für alle Zeiten und für alle eure Nachkommen.
One law and one rule shall be for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.”
Ausländer, die sich eurem Volk angeschlossen haben, sollen dieselben Rechte und Pflichten haben wie ihr selbst.«

»Sag den Israeliten: Wenn ich euch in das versprochene Land gebracht habe
and when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall present a contribution to the Lord.
und ihr dort Getreide erntet, sollt ihr mir einen Teil davon als Opfer darbringen.
Of the first of your dough you shall present a loaf as a contribution; like a contribution from the threshing floor, so shall you present it.
Backt mir vom ersten gemahlenen Korn ein Brot,
Some of the first of your dough you shall give to the Lord as a contribution throughout your generations.
und gebt mir auch etwas vom ersten gedroschenen Getreide! Diese Vorschrift soll für immer gelten.«
Weiter sprach der Herr: »Es kann sein, dass euer Volk aus Versehen gegen meine Gebote verstößt
all that the Lord has commanded you by Moses, from the day that the Lord gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations,
und nicht alles beachtet, was ich euch bis heute durch Mose befohlen habe und was ich noch in Zukunft anordnen werde.
then if it was done unintentionally without the knowledge of the congregation, all the congregation shall offer one bull from the herd for a burnt offering, a pleasing aroma to the Lord, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the rule, and one male goat for a sin offering.
Wenn dies ohne Absicht und unbewusst geschehen ist, soll die ganze Gemeinschaft der Israeliten einen jungen Stier als Brandopfer darbringen, zusammen mit dem vorgeschriebenen Speise- und Trankopfer. Außerdem muss ein Ziegenbock als Sündopfer geschlachtet werden.
And the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the people of Israel, and they shall be forgiven, because it was a mistake, and they have brought their offering, a food offering to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord for their mistake.
Der Priester soll die Opfer darbringen, um das Volk wieder mit mir zu versöhnen. Dann werde ich euch vergeben, weil ihr meine Gebote nicht absichtlich verletzt habt und weil ihr mir ein Brandopfer und ein Sündopfer dargebracht habt.
And all the congregation of the people of Israel shall be forgiven, and the stranger who sojourns among them, because the whole population was involved in the mistake.
Dem ganzen Volk will ich vergeben, auch den Ausländern unter euch. Denn ihr alle seid Teil einer Gemeinschaft und mitverantwortlich für die Sünden, die das Volk aus Versehen begeht.
“If one person sins unintentionally, he shall offer a female goat a year old for a sin offering.
Wenn aber ein einzelner Mensch unabsichtlich meine Gebote übertritt, soll er eine einjährige Ziege als Sündopfer darbringen.
And the priest shall make atonement before the Lord for the person who makes a mistake, when he sins unintentionally, to make atonement for him, and he shall be forgiven.
Der Priester soll dies für ihn tun und so seine Schuld sühnen. Dann werde ich ihm die Sünde vergeben.
You shall have one law for him who does anything unintentionally, for him who is native among the people of Israel and for the stranger who sojourns among them.
Das gilt auch für die Ausländer, die sich eurem Volk angeschlossen haben: Wenn einer von ihnen unabsichtlich gesündigt hat, soll er das gleiche Opfer darbringen wie ein Einheimischer.«
But the person who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native or a sojourner, reviles the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from among his people.
»Wenn aber ein Israelit oder ein Ausländer, der bei euch lebt, mit Absicht eins meiner Gebote übertritt, dann beleidigt er mich und muss sterben. Er darf nicht länger zur Gemeinschaft eures Volkes gehören.
Because he has despised the word of the Lord and has broken his commandment, that person shall be utterly cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.”
Er hat mein Wort verachtet und mein Gesetz gebrochen. Darum muss er die Folgen tragen und mit seinem Leben dafür bezahlen.«
A Sabbathbreaker Executed
While the people of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.

Während des Zuges durch die Wüste wurde einmal ein Israelit dabei gesehen, wie er am Sabbat Holz sammelte.
And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation.
Man brachte ihn zu Mose und Aaron, und vor dem ganzen Volk wurde beraten, was mit ihm geschehen sollte. Da nicht klar war, welche Strafe er verdiente, wurde er zunächst eingesperrt.
And the Lord said to Moses, “The man shall be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.”
Dann sprach der HERR zu Mose: »Dieser Mann muss sterben! Das ganze Volk soll ihn draußen vor dem Lager steinigen.«
And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, as the Lord commanded Moses.
Da führten die Israeliten ihn aus dem Lager und steinigten ihn, wie der HERR es durch Mose angeordnet hatte.
“Speak to the people of Israel, and tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a cord of blue on the tassel of each corner.
»Sag den Israeliten, dass sie und alle ihre Nachkommen an die Zipfel ihrer Gewänder Quasten nähen sollen, die mit einem Stück Schnur aus violettem Purpur befestigt sind.
Die Quasten sollen euch daran erinnern, meinen Geboten zu gehorchen. Immer wenn ihr sie seht, sollt ihr an meine Weisungen denken. Das wird euch helfen, nicht mit euren Gedanken oder Blicken umherzuschweifen und eure eigenen Ziele zu verfolgen.
So you shall remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God.
Ich möchte, dass ihr meine Gebote im Herzen bewahrt und sie befolgt. Ihr sollt mein heiliges Volk sein.
