Jesus Foretells Destruction of the Temple

Als Jesus den Tempel verließ, sagte einer von seinen Jüngern zu ihm: Meister, sieh, was für Steine und was für Bauten!
And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”
Jesus sagte zu ihm: Siehst du diese großen Bauten? Kein Stein wird hier auf dem andern bleiben, der nicht niedergerissen wird.
Signs of the End of the Age

And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet.
Wenn ihr von Kriegen hört und von Kriegsgerüchten, lasst euch nicht erschrecken! Das muss geschehen. Es ist aber noch nicht das Ende.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains.
Denn Volk wird sich gegen Volk und Reich gegen Reich erheben. Und an vielen Orten wird es Erdbeben und Hungersnöte geben. Doch das ist erst der Anfang der Wehen.
“But be on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them.
Ihr aber, gebt Acht auf euch selbst: Man wird euch um meinetwillen an die Gerichte ausliefern, in den Synagogen misshandeln und vor Statthalter und Könige stellen — ihnen zum Zeugnis.
And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations.
Allen Völkern muss zuerst das Evangelium verkündet werden.
And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit.
Und wenn man euch abführt und ausliefert, macht euch nicht im Voraus Sorgen, was ihr reden sollt; sondern was euch in jener Stunde eingegeben wird, das sagt! Denn nicht ihr werdet dann reden, sondern der Heilige Geist.
And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death.
Brüder werden einander dem Tod ausliefern und Väter ihre Kinder und die Kinder werden sich gegen ihre Eltern auflehnen und sie in den Tod schicken.
And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
Und ihr werdet um meines Namens willen von allen gehasst werden; wer aber bis zum Ende standhaft bleibt, der wird gerettet werden.
The Abomination of Desolation
“But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

Wenn ihr aber den Gräuel der Verwüstung an dem Ort seht, wo er nicht stehen darf — der Leser begreife — , dann sollen die Bewohner von Judäa in die Berge fliehen;
Let the one who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter his house, to take anything out,
wer gerade auf dem Dach ist, soll nicht hinabsteigen und hineingehen, um etwas aus seinem Haus zu holen;
and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak.
und wer auf dem Feld ist, soll nicht zurückkehren, um seinen Mantel zu holen.
And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days!
Weh aber den Frauen, die in jenen Tagen schwanger sind oder ein Kind stillen!
For in those days there will be such tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never will be.
Denn jene Tage werden eine Drangsal sein, wie es sie nie gegeben hat, von Anfang der Schöpfung, die Gott geschaffen hat, bis heute, und wie es auch keine mehr geben wird.
And if the Lord had not cut short the days, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days.
Und wenn der Herr die Tage nicht verkürzt hätte, dann würde kein Mensch gerettet; aber um seiner Auserwählten willen hat er die Tage verkürzt.
And then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it.
Wenn dann jemand zu euch sagt: Seht, hier ist der Christus! oder: Seht, dort ist er!, so glaubt es nicht!
For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect.
Denn es wird mancher falsche Christus und mancher falsche Prophet auftreten und sie werden Zeichen und Wunder wirken, um, wenn möglich, die Auserwählten irrezuführen.
But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand.
Ihr aber, gebt Acht! Ich habe euch alles vorausgesagt.
The Coming of the Son of Man
“But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,

And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
Dann wird man den Menschensohn in Wolken kommen sehen, mit großer Kraft und Herrlichkeit.
And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.

Lernt etwas aus dem Vergleich mit dem Feigenbaum! Sobald seine Zweige saftig werden und Blätter treiben, erkennt ihr, dass der Sommer nahe ist.
So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that he is near, at the very gates.
So erkennt auch ihr, wenn ihr das geschehen seht, dass er nahe vor der Tür ist.
Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place.
Amen, ich sage euch: Diese Generation wird nicht vergehen, bis das alles geschieht.

No One Knows That Day or Hour

Doch jenen Tag und jene Stunde kennt niemand, auch nicht die Engel im Himmel, nicht einmal der Sohn, sondern nur der Vater.
Gebt Acht und bleibt wach! Denn ihr wisst nicht, wann die Zeit da ist.
Es ist wie mit einem Mann, der sein Haus verließ, um auf Reisen zu gehen: Er übertrug die Vollmacht seinen Knechten, jedem eine bestimmte Aufgabe; dem Türhüter befahl er, wachsam zu sein.
Seid also wachsam! Denn ihr wisst nicht, wann der Hausherr kommt, ob am Abend oder um Mitternacht, ob beim Hahnenschrei oder erst am Morgen.
lest he come suddenly and find you asleep.
Er soll euch, wenn er plötzlich kommt, nicht schlafend antreffen.
