And the priest said, “The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you struck down in the Valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you will take that, take it, for there is none but that here.” And David said, “There is none like that; give it to me.”

And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.

So the priest said, “The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, there it is, wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you will take that, take it. For there is no other except that one here.”
And David said, “There is none like it; give it to me.” -

И сказал священник: вот меч Голиафа Филистимлянина, которого ты поразил в долине дуба, завёрнутый в одежду, позади ефода; если хочешь, возьми его; другого, кроме этого, нет здесь. И сказал Давид: нет ему подобного, дай мне его.

Давид спитав Ахімелеха: «А чи нема тут у тебе якого списа або меча під рукою, бо я не взяв із собою ані мого меча, ані зброї, такий був наказ царський спішний.»

І каже йому сьвященник: Ось є меч Филистія Голіята, що ти вбив у Теребинтовій долинї, обгорнутий одежею, позад ефода. Коли хочеш, возьми, бо тут иншого нема. І відказав Давид: Такого другого й не знайти, дай менї його. -
І сказав Давид до Ахімеле́ха: „Чи нема тут у тебе під рукою списа або меча́? Бо я не взяв до своєї руки ані меча свого, ані іншої збро́ї своєї, бо царська́ справа була на́гла“.

— Здесь есть меч филистимлянина Голиафа, которого ты убил в долине Эла. Меч за эфодом, завернутый в одежду. Если хочешь, возьми его. Кроме этого, здесь нет никакого другого меча.
Давид сказал:
— Нет ему равного, дай его мне. -
який пас ослів Саула. І сказав Давид Авімелехові: Поглянь, чи тут під твоїми руками є спис або меч, бо свій меч і зброю я не взяв у свою руку, бо нагальним було слово царя.
