Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?
Нет столь отважного, который осмелился бы потревожить его; кто же может устоять перед Моим лицом?
Will he make many supplications unto thee? will he speak soft words unto thee?
Кто предварил Меня, чтобы Мне воздавать ему? под всем небом всё Моё.
Will he make a covenant with thee? wilt thou take him for a servant for ever?
Не умолчу о членах его, о силе и красивой соразмерности их.
Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?
Кто может открыть верх одежды его, кто подойдёт к двойным челюстям его?
Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?
Кто может отворить двери лица его? круг зубов его — ужас;
Canst thou fill his skin with barbed irons? or his head with fish spears?

Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do no more.
один к другому прикасается близко, так что и воздух не проходит между ними;
Behold, the hope of him is in vain: shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him?
один с другим лежат плотно, сцепились и не раздвигаются.
None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?
От его чихания показывается свет; глаза у него как ресницы зари;
Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.
из пасти его выходят пламенники, выскакивают огненные искры;
I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.
из ноздрей его выходит дым, как из кипящего горшка или котла.
Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle?
Дыхание его раскаляет угли, и из пасти его выходит пламя.
Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.
На шее его обитает сила, и перед ним бежит ужас.
His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a close seal.
Мясистые части тела его сплочены между собою твёрдо, не дрогнут.
One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
Сердце его твёрдо, как камень, и жёстко, как нижний жёрнов.
They are joined one to another, they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.
Когда он поднимается, силачи в страхе, совсем теряются от ужаса.
By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.
Меч, коснувшийся его, не устоит, ни копьё, ни дротик, ни латы.

Булава считается у него за соломину; свисту дротика он смеётся.
In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.
Под ним острые камни, и он на острых камнях лежит в грязи.
The flakes of his flesh are joined together: they are firm in themselves; they cannot be moved.
Он кипятит пучину, как котёл, и море претворяет в кипящую мазь;
His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.

When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves.
