King James Bible

New Living Translation

  • Out of the Depths I Cried to You

    {A Song of degrees.} Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
  • A song for pilgrims ascending to Jerusalem.

    From the depths of despair, O LORD,
    I call for your help.
  • Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
  • Hear my cry, O Lord.
    Pay attention to my prayer.
  • If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
  • LORD, if you kept a record of our sins,
    who, O Lord, could ever survive?
  • But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
  • But you offer forgiveness,
    that we might learn to fear you.
  • I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
  • I am counting on the LORD;
    yes, I am counting on him.
    I have put my hope in his word.
  • My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
  • I long for the Lord
    more than sentries long for the dawn,
    yes, more than sentries long for the dawn.
  • Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
  • O Israel, hope in the LORD;
    for with the LORD there is unfailing love.
    His redemption overflows.
  • And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
  • He himself will redeem Israel
    from every kind of sin.
