For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
Я сказав: Пильнуватиму мої дороги, щоб не грішити своїм язиком. Я поставив охорону моїм устам, коли грішний став переді мною.
There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.
Я втратив голос і став сумирний, не говорив навіть про добро, та мій біль відновився.
For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
Жаром зайнялося в мені моє серце, і в моїх роздумах палахкотітиме вогонь. Я став промовляти своїм язиком:
My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
Господи, об’яви мені мій кінець і міру моїх днів, яка вона, щоб я знав, чого мені бракує.
I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.
І Ти показав мої дні — ось вони, декілька п’ядей; моє існування — це ніщо перед Тобою. Усе — лише марнота — кожна людина, що живе.

For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
Отак, наче привид, проминає людина, — даремно клопочеться вона. Збирає скарби, та не знає, для кого їх збирає.
I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
А тепер, хто надія моя? Хіба не Господь? Моє існування — в Тобі.
Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
Звільни мене від усіх моїх беззаконь, — докором для безумного Ти зробив мене.
My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.
Я онімів і не міг відкрити моїх уст, бо Ти — Той, Хто мене створив.
My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.
Відверни від мене Свої кари. Я зовсім ослаб від сили Твоєї руки.
They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
Докорами за беззаконня Ти покарав людину і забрав її душу, як павутину. Тож даремно непокоїться кожна людина.

But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
Господи, вислухай мою молитву і почуй моє благання. Відгукнися на мої сльози, бо я в Тебе, як мандрівник і чужинець, як і всі мої батьки.
