Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
Sei mir gnädig, Gott, denn Menschen stellten mir nach, Tag für Tag bedrängen mich meine Feinde.
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
Den ganzen Tag stellten meine Gegner mir nach, ja, es sind viele, die mich voll Hochmut bekämpften.
In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
An dem Tag, da ich mich fürchte, setzte ich auf dich mein Vertrauen.
Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
Auf Gott, dessen Wort ich lobe, auf Gott vertraue ich, ich fürchte mich nicht. Was kann ein Fleisch mir antun?
They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
Tag für Tag verdrehen sie meine Worte, auf mein Verderben geht ihr ganzes Sinnen.
Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.
Sie lauern und spähen, sie beobachten meine Schritte, denn sie trachteten mir nach dem Leben.
Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
Wegen des Unrechts sollen sie Rettung erfahren? Im Zorn, Gott, wirf nieder die Völker!
When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
Die Wege meines Elends hast du gezählt. In deinem Schlauch sammle meine Tränen! Steht nicht alles in deinem Buche?
In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.
Dann weichen die Feinde zurück, am Tag, da ich rufe. Ich habe erkannt: Mir steht Gott zur Seite.
In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
Auf Gott, dessen Wort ich lobe, auf den HERRN, dessen Wort ich lobe,
Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
auf Gott setzte ich mein Vertrauen, ich fürchte mich nicht. Was kann ein Mensch mir antun?
