Ein Klagelied Davids, das er dem HERRN sang wegen des Benjaminiters Kusch.
Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
HERR, mein Gott, ich flüchte mich zu dir; hilf mir vor allen Verfolgern und rette mich,
O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
damit niemand wie ein Löwe mein Leben zerreißt, mich packt und keiner ist da, der rettet!
If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
Wenn ich das getan habe, HERR, mein Gott, wenn an meinen Händen Unrecht klebt,
Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
wenn ich meinem Freunde Böses tat, wenn ich den ausraubte, der mich jetzt grundlos bedrängt,
Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
dann soll mich der Feind verfolgen und ergreifen; er trete zu Boden mein Leben und lege in den Staub meine Ehre. [Sela]
So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
HERR, steh auf in deinem Zorn, erheb dich gegen die Wut meiner Bedränger! Wach auf zu mir hin! Du hast zum Gericht gerufen.
The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
Um dich stehe die Schar der Völker im Kreis, über sie kehre zu deinem Thron in der Höhe zurück!
Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
Der HERR richtet die Völker. Verschaffe mir Recht, HERR, nach meiner Gerechtigkeit, nach meiner Unschuld, die mich umgibt!
My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
Die Bosheit der Frevler finde ein Ende, doch dem Gerechten gib Bestand, der du Herzen und Nieren prüfst, gerechter Gott!
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
Mein Schutz ist Sache Gottes, er ist Retter derer, die redlichen Herzens sind.
If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
Gott ist ein gerechter Richter, ein Gott, der an jedem Tag zürnt.
He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
Fürwahr, wieder schärft der Frevler sein Schwert, spannt seinen Bogen und zielt.
Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
Doch gegen sich selbst hat er tödliche Waffen gerichtet, bereitet sich glühende Pfeile.
He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
Siehe, Unrecht empfängt er; er geht schwanger mit Unheil und gebiert Lüge.
His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
Ein Loch hat er gegraben und es ausgeschaufelt, da fiel er in die Grube, die er selber gemacht hat.
