Die Unschuld Davids, davon er sang dem HERRN von wegen der Worte des Chus, des Benjaminiten.
Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
Auf dich, HERR, traue ich, mein Gott. Hilf mir von allen meinen Verfolgern und errette mich,
O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
(daß sie nicht wie Löwen meine Seele erhaschen und zerreißen, weil kein Erretter da ist.
If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
( HERR, mein Gott, habe ich solches getan und ist Unrecht in meinen Händen;
Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
(habe ich Böses vergolten denen, so friedlich mit mir lebten, oder die, so mir ohne Ursache feind waren, beschädigt:
Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
(so verfolge mein Feind meine Seele und ergreife sie und trete mein Leben zu Boden und lege meine Ehre in den Staub. (Sela.)
So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
(Stehe auf, HERR, in deinem Zorn, erhebe dich über den Grimm meiner Feinde und wache auf zu mir, der du Gericht verordnet hast,
The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
(daß sich die Völker um dich sammeln; und über ihnen kehre wieder zur Höhe.
Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
(Der HERR ist Richter über die Völker. Richte mich, HERR, nach meiner Gerechtigkeit und Frömmigkeit!
My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
Laß der Gottlosen Bosheit ein Ende werden und fördere die Gerechten; denn du, gerechter Gott, prüfst Herzen und Nieren.
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
Mein Schild ist bei Gott, der den frommen Herzen hilft.
If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
Gott ist ein rechter Richter und ein Gott, der täglich droht.
He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
Will man sich nicht bekehren, so hat er sein Schwert gewetzt und seinen Bogen gespannt und zielt
Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
und hat darauf gelegt tödliche Geschosse; seine Pfeile hat er zugerichtet, zu verderben.
He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
Siehe, der hat Böses im Sinn; mit Unglück ist er schwanger und wird Lüge gebären.
His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
Er hat eine Grube gegraben und ausgehöhlt und ist in die Grube gefallen, die er gemacht hat.
