I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
Dir, HERR, will ich von ganzem Herzen danken, von all deinen wunderbaren Taten will ich erzählen.
When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
Ich freue mich über dich und juble dir zu. Ich singe zu deiner Ehre und preise deinen Namen, du höchster Gott!
For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.
Denn du schlägst meine Feinde in die Flucht, sie stürzen und kommen um!
Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
Durch dein Eingreifen hast du mir Recht verschafft, als ein gerechter Richter sitzt du auf dem Thron.
O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.
Die feindlichen Völker hast du in ihre Grenzen verwiesen, die Verbrecher hast du umgebracht und alles ausgelöscht, was an sie erinnerte.
But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
Der Feind ist für immer erledigt, seine Städte sind nur noch Ruinen. Keiner denkt mehr an sie.
And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
Aber der HERR regiert für immer und ewig, sein Richterstuhl steht schon bereit.
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Über die ganze Welt wird er ein gerechtes Urteil sprechen und allen Völkern seine Entscheidung verkünden.
And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Die Unterdrückten finden Zuflucht bei Gott, in schwerer Zeit ist er für sie wie eine sichere Burg.
Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.
HERR, wer dich kennt, der vertraut dir gern. Denn wer sich auf dich verlässt, der ist nie verlassen.
When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.
Singt für den HERRN, der auf dem Berg Zion wohnt, und erzählt allen Völkern von seinen machtvollen Taten!
Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
Den Schrei der Wehrlosen überhört er nicht, und keine Bluttat lässt er ungestraft.
That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.
Hab auch Erbarmen mit mir, HERR! Sieh doch, wie ich leide unter dem Hass meiner Feinde! Ich stehe am Rand des Todes — bring mich in Sicherheit!
The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
Dann will ich dich in der Stadt Zion loben. Alle sollen hören, wie du mich gerettet hast.
The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
Die Völker, die andere ins Verderben stürzen wollten, sind in ihre eigene Falle gelaufen. Ihr Netz haben sie gut versteckt ausgelegt — und verstrickten sich am Ende selbst darin!
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
So hat der HERR bewiesen, wer er ist: Er hat Gericht an den Gottlosen geübt! Ihre Machenschaften ließ er ihnen zum Verhängnis werden.
For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
Ja, die Unheilstifter werden im Totenreich enden, alle Völker, die von Gott nichts wissen wollen!
Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
Aber wer sein Recht nicht durchsetzen kann, den hat Gott nicht vergessen. Seine Hoffnung wird sich erfüllen, auch wenn es zunächst nicht so scheint.
