Consecration of the Priests
And this is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to hallow them, to minister unto me in the priest's office: Take one young bullock, and two rams without blemish,

»Wenn Aaron und seine Söhne in ihr Amt eingesetzt werden, um mir als Priester zu dienen, sollst du Folgendes tun: Such einen jungen Stier und zwei Schafböcke aus, alles fehlerlose Tiere!
And unleavened bread, and cakes unleavened tempered with oil, and wafers unleavened anointed with oil: of wheaten flour shalt thou make them.
Lass ungesäuertes Brot backen, dazu Kuchen aus ungesäuertem, mit Öl vermengtem Teig sowie mit Öl bestrichenes Fladenbrot. Für die gesamten Backwaren soll feines Weizenmehl verwendet werden.
And thou shalt put them into one basket, and bring them in the basket, with the bullock and the two rams.
Leg sie dann in einen Korb und bring sie zusammen mit dem Stier und den Schafböcken zum heiligen Zelt!
And Aaron and his sons thou shalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shalt wash them with water.
Führe Aaron und seine Söhne an den Eingang des Heiligtums und wasche sie dort mit Wasser!
And thou shalt take the garments, and put upon Aaron the coat, and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the curious girdle of the ephod:
Dann leg Aaron die Priestergewänder an: das Untergewand, das Obergewand und den Priesterschurz mit der Brusttasche. Binde ihm den Gürtel um, der den Priesterschurz hält,
And thou shalt put the mitre upon his head, and put the holy crown upon the mitre.
setz ihm den Turban auf und befestige daran das heilige goldene Schild.
Then shalt thou take the anointing oil, and pour it upon his head, and anoint him.
Nimm das Salböl und weihe Aaron, indem du es über seinen Kopf gießt!
And thou shalt bring his sons, and put coats upon them.
Dann hol auch seine Söhne herbei und lass sie ihre Gewänder anziehen,
And thou shalt gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the bonnets on them: and the priest's office shall be theirs for a perpetual statute: and thou shalt consecrate Aaron and his sons.
leg ihnen den Gürtel an und binde ihnen die Turbane um! So sollst du Aaron und seine Söhne in ihr Amt einsetzen; sie und ihre Nachkommen sollen mir für alle Zeiten als Priester dienen.
Order of the Sacrifices
And thou shalt cause a bullock to be brought before the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the bullock.

Als Nächstes bring den jungen Stier zum Eingang des heiligen Zeltes! Aaron und seine Söhne sollen ihre Hände auf seinen Kopf legen.
And thou shalt kill the bullock before the LORD, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Schlachte den Stier am Altar vor dem Eingang zum Heiligtum.
And thou shalt take of the blood of the bullock, and put it upon the horns of the altar with thy finger, and pour all the blood beside the bottom of the altar.
Fang das Blut in einer Schale auf und streich etwas davon mit dem Finger an die vier Hörner des Altars! Das restliche Blut sollst du an den Fuß des Altars gießen.
And thou shalt take all the fat that covereth the inwards, and the caul that is above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and burn them upon the altar.
Das Fett, das die Eingeweide bedeckt, den Fettlappen über der Leber und die beiden Nieren mit ihrem Fett sollst du auf dem Altar verbrennen.
But the flesh of the bullock, and his skin, and his dung, shalt thou burn with fire without the camp: it is a sin offering.
Das Fleisch des Stieres, sein Fell und die Innereien samt Inhalt musst du außerhalb des Lagers verbrennen. Dieses Opfer ist ein Sündopfer.
Thou shalt also take one ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.
Danach hol den ersten Schafbock! Aaron und seine Söhne sollen wieder die Hände auf seinen Kopf legen.
And thou shalt slay the ram, and thou shalt take his blood, and sprinkle it round about upon the altar.
Schlachte den Schafbock, fang das Blut in einer Schale auf und spreng es ringsum an den Altar!
And thou shalt cut the ram in pieces, and wash the inwards of him, and his legs, and put them unto his pieces, and unto his head.
Zerleg den Schafbock und wasch seine Eingeweide und Schenkel. Leg sie zu den Fleischstücken und dem Kopf.
And thou shalt burn the whole ram upon the altar: it is a burnt offering unto the LORD: it is a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Dann verbrenn den ganzen Schafbock auf dem Altar! Dies ist ein Brandopfer, das mir, dem HERRN, geweiht ist. Solch ein wohlriechendes Opfer gefällt mir gut.
And thou shalt take the other ram; and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands upon the head of the ram.
Nun hol den zweiten Schafbock! Auch auf seinen Kopf sollen Aaron und seine Söhne die Hände legen.
Then shalt thou kill the ram, and take of his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron, and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
Schlachte den Schafbock und fang das Blut in einer Schale auf! Streich ein wenig davon Aaron und seinen Söhnen auf ihr rechtes Ohrläppchen, den rechten Daumen und die rechte große Zehe. Den Rest des Blutes spreng ringsum an den Altar.
And thou shalt take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons with him: and he shall be hallowed, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.
Nimm dann etwas von dem vergossenen Blut sowie etwas Salböl und bespreng Aaron und seine Kleider damit! Tu das Gleiche mit Aarons Söhnen und ihren Kleidern. So werden sie mit ihren Kleidern für ihren Dienst geweiht.
Also thou shalt take of the ram the fat and the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and the right shoulder; for it is a ram of consecration:
Der Schafbock ist für das Einsetzungsopfer bestimmt. Du sollst ihn zerlegen und das Fett herauslösen: den Fettschwanz, das Fett über den Eingeweiden, den Lappen an der Leber, die beiden Nieren und ihr Fett, dazu die rechte Keule.
And one loaf of bread, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer out of the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the LORD:
Hol aus dem Korb mit den ungesäuerten Backwaren, der am Eingang des Heiligtums steht, einen Laib Brot, einen Ölkuchen und ein Fladenbrot!
And thou shalt put all in the hands of Aaron, and in the hands of his sons; and shalt wave them for a wave offering before the LORD.
Leg das Fett, die Keule, die Brote und den Kuchen Aaron und seinen Söhnen in die Hände; sie sollen es vor dem heiligen Zelt hin- und herschwingen und mir, dem HERRN, weihen.
And thou shalt receive them of their hands, and burn them upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour before the LORD: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Dann nimm alles wieder an dich und verbrenn es auf dem Altar, auf dem auch schon der erste Schafbock dargebracht wurde! Dies ist ein wohlriechendes Brandopfer, das mir, dem HERRN, gefällt.
And thou shalt take the breast of the ram of Aaron's consecration, and wave it for a wave offering before the LORD: and it shall be thy part.
Danach nimm das Bruststück des Schafbocks, der für Aarons Amtseinsetzung dargebracht wird, und schwing es vor dem heiligen Zelt hin und her! Dieses Stück ist dein Anteil.
And thou shalt sanctify the breast of the wave offering, and the shoulder of the heave offering, which is waved, and which is heaved up, of the ram of the consecration, even of that which is for Aaron, and of that which is for his sons:
Jedes Mal, wenn ein Priester in sein Amt eingesetzt wird, soll das Bruststück des Schafbocks vor dem Heiligtum hin- und hergeschwungen und die Keule vor mir hochgehoben und so mir geweiht werden. Sie sind der Anteil, den die Priester erhalten.
And it shall be Aaron's and his sons' by a statute for ever from the children of Israel: for it is an heave offering: and it shall be an heave offering from the children of Israel of the sacrifice of their peace offerings, even their heave offering unto the LORD.
Auch wenn die Israeliten mir künftig ihre Friedensopfer darbringen, gehören diese beiden Stücke Aaron und seinen Söhnen. Diese Ordnung gilt für alle Zeiten!
And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons' after him, to be anointed therein, and to be consecrated in them.
Aarons heilige Gewänder sollen nach seinem Tod einem seiner Söhne übergeben werden, und zwar dem, der das Priesteramt Aarons übernimmt und mir im Heiligtum dient. Sieben Tage lang soll er sie bei der Priesterweihe tragen, wenn er mit Öl gesalbt und in sein Amt eingesetzt wird.
Food for the Priests
And thou shalt take the ram of the consecration, and seethe his flesh in the holy place.

Das Fleisch des Schafbocks, der zur Einsetzung geschlachtet wurde, musst du beim Heiligtum kochen.
And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
Am Eingang zum heiligen Zelt sollen Aaron und seine Söhne das Fleisch sowie die Brote und Kuchen aus dem Korb essen.
And they shall eat those things wherewith the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them: but a stranger shall not eat thereof, because they are holy.
Außer ihnen darf niemand etwas davon essen, denn es ist heilig. Durch das Opfer werden sie mit mir versöhnt und in ihr Amt eingesetzt.
And if ought of the flesh of the consecrations, or of the bread, remain unto the morning, then thou shalt burn the remainder with fire: it shall not be eaten, because it is holy.
Was vom Brot oder Fleisch noch bis zum nächsten Morgen übrig bleibt, muss verbrannt werden. Es ist heilig und darf nicht mehr gegessen werden.
And thus shalt thou do unto Aaron, and to his sons, according to all things which I have commanded thee: seven days shalt thou consecrate them.
Halte dich bei der Amtseinführung Aarons und seiner Söhne ganz genau an meine Anweisungen! Die Einsetzungsfeier mit den dazugehörigen Opfern soll an sieben Tagen nacheinander wiederholt werden!
And thou shalt offer every day a bullock for a sin offering for atonement: and thou shalt cleanse the altar, when thou hast made an atonement for it, and thou shalt anoint it, to sanctify it.
Jeden Tag sollst du einen jungen Stier als Sündopfer schlachten und mit seinem Blut den Altar von aller Schuld reinigen, die auf ihm lastet. Besprenge ihn außerdem mit Salböl und weihe ihn so mir, dem Herrn!
Seven days thou shalt make an atonement for the altar, and sanctify it; and it shall be an altar most holy: whatsoever toucheth the altar shall be holy.
Sieben Tage lang musst du den Altar mit Blut und Salböl besprengen. Dann wird er in besonderem Maße heilig sein; alles, was ihn berührt, wird dadurch ebenfalls heilig.«
The Daily Offerings
Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually.

»Lass täglich zwei einjährige Lämmer auf dem Altar verbrennen,
The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even:
eins am Morgen, das andere gegen Abend!
And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering.
Mit dem ersten Lamm soll ein Speiseopfer von eineinhalb Kilogramm feinem Weizenmehl dargebracht werden, vermengt mit einem Liter bestem Olivenöl, dazu als Trankopfer ein Liter Wein.
And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Für das zweite Lamm, das abends verbrannt wird, sollen die gleichen Speise- und Trankopfer dargebracht werden. Solch ein wohlriechendes Opfer gefällt mir, dem HERRN, gut.
This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.
Alle künftigen Generationen sollen mir dieses Brandopfer regelmäßig am Eingang zum heiligen Zelt darbringen. Dort werde ich euch begegnen und mit dir reden.
And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory.
Ja, ich selbst will euch begegnen und mein Heiligtum mit meiner Herrlichkeit erfüllen!
And I will sanctify the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar: I will sanctify also both Aaron and his sons, to minister to me in the priest's office.
Darum wird dieses Zelt heilig sein, ebenso der Altar. Auch Aaron und seine Söhne werden durch meine Gegenwart zu heiligen Priestern, die mir dienen.
God will Dwell Among the People
And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.
And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God.
Ich will bei euch Israeliten wohnen und euer Gott sein.
And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the LORD their God.
Ihr werdet erkennen, dass ich der HERR, euer Gott, bin. Ich habe euch aus Ägypten herausgeführt, um bei euch zu wohnen. Ja, ich bin der HERR, euer Gott!«
