Give not thy strength unto women, nor thy ways to that which destroyeth kings.
Не роздавай свого багатства жінкам, — ні розуму свого, ні життя свого, аби пізніше не каятися.
It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
Роби все з порадою, — і вино пий з порадою. Владні люди схильні до гарячковості, тому хай не п’ють вина.
Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.
Щоб, напившись, не забули мудрості й не втратили здатності правильно судити немічних.
Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.
Дайте п’янке тим, які в горі, і вино тим, хто страждає,
