Jubeln werden die Wüste und das trockene Land, jauchzen wird die Steppe und blühen wie die Lilie.
It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.
Sie wird prächtig blühen und sie wird jauchzen, ja jauchzen und frohlocken. Die Herrlichkeit des Libanon wurde ihr gegeben, die Pracht des Karmel und der Ebene Scharon. Sie werden die Herrlichkeit des HERRN sehen, die Pracht unseres Gottes.
Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees.
Stärkt die schlaffen Hände und festigt die wankenden Knie!
Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.
Sagt den Verzagten: Seid stark, fürchtet euch nicht! Seht, euer Gott! Die Rache kommt, die Vergeltung Gottes! Er selbst kommt und wird euch retten.
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.
Dann werden die Augen der Blinden aufgetan und die Ohren der Tauben werden geöffnet.
Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.
Dann springt der Lahme wie ein Hirsch und die Zunge des Stummen frohlockt, denn in der Wüste sind Wasser hervorgebrochen und Flüsse in der Steppe.
And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
Der glühende Sand wird zum Teich und das durstige Land zu sprudelnden Wassern. Auf der Aue, wo sich Schakale lagern, wird das Gras zu Schilfrohr und Papyrus.
And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.
Dort wird es eine Straße, den Weg geben; man nennt ihn den Heiligen Weg. Kein Unreiner wird auf ihm einherziehen; er gehört dem, der auf dem Weg geht, und die Toren werden nicht abirren.
No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:
Es wird dort keinen Löwen geben, kein Raubtier zieht auf ihm hinauf, kein einziges ist dort zu finden, sondern Erlöste werden ihn gehen.
And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Die vom HERRN Befreiten kehren zurück und kommen zum Zion mit Frohlocken. Ewige Freude ist auf ihren Häuptern, Jubel und Freude stellen sich ein, Kummer und Seufzen entfliehen.
