Israel's Sin

Thus saith the LORD, Where is the bill of your mother's divorcement, whom I have put away? or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.

Господь говорит: "Вы считаете, что Я развёлся с вашей матерью — Иерусалимом. Но где разводные бумаги, подтверждающие развод? Разве Я задолжал кому-нибудь и продал вас, чтоб расплатиться с долгами? Нет, Я отдал вас за ваши грехи, и мать вашу, Иерусалим, Я отослал за зло, содеянное ею.

Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.

Пришёл Я домой и никого не нашёл. Я звал и звал, но Мне никто не ответил. Вы думаете, что Я не в силах спасти вас? Могущества вполне Моего хватит, чтобы всех вас спасти. Если Я прикажу, море станет сухим, рыбы умрут без воды и сгниют.

I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.

The Servant's Obedience

The Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

Господь мой Всемогущий дал мне возможность учить, и теперь я учу этих несчастных людей. Каждое утро Он будит меня и наставляет меня, словно ученика.

The Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away back.

Господь помогает мне учить, и я не повернусь к Нему спиной, я не перестану следовать Ему.

I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.

Я позволю этим людям меня истязать, выдирать из бороды моей волосы, я не спрячу лица от бранных их слов и оплевания.

For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Мне поможет Господь и всё плохое мне не принесёт вреда, я буду сильным, я знаю, что не разочаруюсь.

He is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine adversary? let him come near to me.

Господь со мной, Он утверждает мою чистоту, так что никто не может сказать, что я виновен. И если кто-то будет пытаться доказать мою неправоту, пусть он придёт ко мне, и мы устроим суд.

Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? lo, they all shall wax old as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.

Но Господь помогает мне и никто не может обвинить меня во зле. Все эти люди будут подобны старой одежде, поедаемой молью.

Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

Кто почитает Господа, тот слушает Его слугу. Слуга Его живёт с верою в Бога, не ведая, что случится, поскольку он истинно верит в Имя Господнее и от Него зависит во всём.

Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.

"Послушайте, если вы хотите жить по-своему, то разожгите свои собственные огни и факелы и живите, как вы желаете, идите своим путём, но вам не избежать наказания — вы упадёте в свой же огонь и сгорите. И Я сделаю так, чтобы это случилось".
