God's Glory Exits the Temple
Then I looked, and, behold, in the firmament that was above the head of the cherubims there appeared over them as it were a sapphire stone, as the appearance of the likeness of a throne.

Ich schaute auf das Gewölbe über den Köpfen der Keruben. Darüber erschien etwas, das aussah wie ein Thron aus Saphir.
And he spake unto the man clothed with linen, and said, Go in between the wheels, even under the cherub, and fill thine hand with coals of fire from between the cherubims, and scatter them over the city. And he went in in my sight.
Gott sagte zu dem Mann, der das Gewand aus Leinen trug: »Geh zu den Keruben, die dort über den Rädern stehen. Zwischen ihnen findest du ein Feuer mit glühenden Kohlen. Nimm zwei Hände voll und streu sie über die Stadt!« Da ging der Mann vor meinen Augen in die Mitte zwischen die vier Gestalten.
Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court.
Sie standen gerade an der Südseite des Tempels, und eine Wolke erfüllte den inneren Vorhof.
Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD'S glory.
Der HERR in seiner Herrlichkeit erhob sich vom Thron über den Keruben und ließ sich an der Schwelle des Tempels nieder. Der ganze Tempel wurde von der Wolke erfüllt, und der Vorhof erstrahlte in seinem Licht.
And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when he speaketh.
Das Flügelrauschen der Keruben war bis zum äußersten Vorhof zu hören. Es klang wie die Stimme des allmächtigen Gottes.
And it came to pass, that when he had commanded the man clothed with linen, saying, Take fire from between the wheels, from between the cherubims; then he went in, and stood beside the wheels.
Als nun Gott dem Mann mit dem Leinengewand befohlen hatte: »Hol von dem Feuer, das zwischen den Rädern bei den Keruben brennt!«, da ging er hin und stellte sich neben ein Rad.
And one cherub stretched forth his hand from between the cherubims unto the fire that was between the cherubims, and took thereof, and put it into the hands of him that was clothed with linen: who took it, and went out.
Eines der Wesen streckte seine Hand nach dem Feuer aus, das zwischen ihnen brannte, nahm glühende Kohlen und legte sie in die Hände des Mannes. Der ging damit hinaus in die Stadt.
And there appeared in the cherubims the form of a man's hand under their wings.
Ich bemerkte, dass jeder von den Keruben unter seinen Flügeln so etwas wie eine menschliche Hand hatte.
And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the colour of a beryl stone.
Neben den Keruben sah ich je eines der vier Räder. Die Räder schimmerten wie Edelsteine
And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel.
und waren alle gleich gebaut: Mitten in jedes Rad war ein zweites im rechten Winkel eingefügt.
When they went, they went upon their four sides; they turned not as they went, but to the place whither the head looked they followed it; they turned not as they went.
Darum konnten sie in jede beliebige Richtung laufen und brauchten sich dabei nicht umzudrehen. Wohin das erste von ihnen lief, dorthin liefen die anderen auch, ohne zu wenden.
And their whole body, and their backs, and their hands, and their wings, and the wheels, were full of eyes round about, even the wheels that they four had.
Der ganze Körper der Keruben, ihr Rücken, ihre Hände und ihre Flügel waren überall mit Augen bedeckt. Auch die Räder, die vor meinen Ohren »Wirbelwind« genannt wurden, waren voller Augen.
And every one had four faces: the first face was the face of a cherub, and the second face was the face of a man, and the third the face of a lion, and the fourth the face of an eagle.
Jede Gestalt hatte vier Gesichter: das eines Keruben, das eines Menschen, das eines Löwen und das eines Adlers.
And the cherubims were lifted up. This is the living creature that I saw by the river of Chebar.
Es war dieselbe Erscheinung, die ich schon am Fluss Kebar gesehen hatte. Wenn die Keruben sich erhoben
And when the cherubims went, the wheels went by them: and when the cherubims lifted up their wings to mount up from the earth, the same wheels also turned not from beside them.
und fortbewegten, dann liefen auch die Räder mit; und wenn sie ihre Flügel schwangen, um zu fliegen, dann waren die Räder immer an ihrer Seite.
When they stood, these stood; and when they were lifted up, these lifted up themselves also: for the spirit of the living creature was in them.
Blieben die Keruben stehen, dann standen auch die Räder still. Hoben sie sich vom Boden, dann erhoben sich auch die Räder mit ihnen. So taten sie immer dasselbe, denn ein und derselbe Geist lenkte sie.
Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
Der HERR verließ die Schwelle des Tempels und nahm wieder den Platz über den Keruben ein.
And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD'S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
Diese schwangen ihre Flügel und erhoben sich vor meinen Augen von der Erde. Sie bewegten sich fort, und die Räder liefen mit ihnen. Vor dem Eingang am Osttor des Tempels blieben sie stehen. Über ihnen thronte der Gott Israels in seiner Herrlichkeit.
This is the living creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river of Chebar; and I knew that they were the cherubims.
Es waren dieselben Lebewesen, die ich schon am Fluss Kebar unter Gottes Thron gesehen hatte; und nun erkannte ich, dass es Keruben waren.
Every one had four faces apiece, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
Jeder von ihnen hatte vier Gesichter und vier Flügel. Unter ihren Flügeln hatten sie so etwas wie menschliche Hände.
