The Siege of Jerusalem Predicted
Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:

Du, Menschensohn, nimm dir einen Lehmziegel, leg ihn vor dich hin und ritze eine Stadt darauf ein: Jerusalem!
And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.
Verhänge eine Belagerung gegen sie: Bau gegen sie einen Belagerungswall; schütte gegen sie einen Damm auf; leg gegen sie ein Truppenlager an und stell gegen sie ringsum Sturmböcke auf!
Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.
Du, nimm eine Eisenplatte und stell sie als eiserne Mauer zwischen dich und die Stadt! Richte dein Gesicht auf sie: So ist sie unter Belagerung und du belagerst sie. Ein Zeichen ist dies für das Haus Israel.
Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
Du, leg dich auf deine linke Seite und leg die Schuld des Hauses Israel darauf! Die Zahl der Tage, die du darauf liegst, trägst du ihre Schuld.
For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
Ich aber, ich setze für dich hiermit die Jahre ihrer Schuld in einer Zahl von Tagen fest: dreihundertneunzig Tage. So sollst du die Schuld des Hauses Israel tragen.
And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
Wenn du diese beendet hast, leg dich auf die andere, deine rechte Seite, und trag vierzig Tage lang die Schuld des Hauses Juda, einen Tag für jedes Jahr: Einen Tag für jedes Jahr setze ich für dich fest.
Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
Dann sollst du dein Gesicht und deinen entblößten Arm auf die Belagerung Jerusalems richten und du sollst gegen es weissagen.
And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
Siehe, ich lege dir Stricke an, sodass du dich nicht von einer Seite auf die andere drehen kannst, so lange, bis du die Tage deiner Belagerung beendet hast.
The Defiled Bread
Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.

Du, nimm dir Weizen, Gerste und Bohnen, Linsen, Hirse und Dinkel; gib sie zusammen in ein einziges Gefäß und mach dir Brot daraus! Die Zahl der Tage, die du auf deiner Seite liegst, dreihundertneunzig Tage lang, sollst du davon essen.
And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.
Und dein Essen, das du isst, soll genau abgewogen sein, zwanzig Schekel am Tag; davon sollst du von Zeit zu Zeit essen.
Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
Auch das Wasser, das du trinkst, soll genau abgemessen sein: ein sechstel Hin; davon sollst du von Zeit zu Zeit trinken.
And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
Als Gerstenfladen sollst du es essen; auf Menschenkot sollst du es vor ihren Augen backen.
And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.
Und der HERR sprach: Ebenso werden die Israeliten ihr Brot unrein essen unter den Völkern, wohin ich sie verstoße.
Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.
Ich aber sagte: Ach, Herr und GOTT, siehe, ich bin nicht in Unreinheit. Seit meiner Jugend habe ich noch nie von einem verendeten oder zerrissenen Tier gegessen. Niemals ist verdorbenes Fleisch in meinen Mund gekommen.
Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.
Da sagte er zu mir: Siehe, ich erlaube dir, dein Brot auf Rindermist statt auf Menschenkot zu machen.
Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:
Dann sagte er zu mir: Menschensohn, siehe, ich zerbreche den Brotstab in Jerusalem. Sie werden ihr Brot wiegen und es mit Sorgen essen; das Wasser werden sie genau abmessen und mit Schaudern trinken;
