Clean and Unclean Animals
And the LORD spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,
And the LORD spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,
Der HERR gab Mose und Aaron den Auftrag,
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.
den Israeliten dies mitzuteilen: »Das Fleisch von folgenden Tieren dürft ihr essen: Von den Landtieren
Whatsoever parteth the hoof, and is clovenfooted, and cheweth the cud, among the beasts, that shall ye eat.
sind euch alle erlaubt, die vollständig gespaltene Hufe oder Pfoten haben und wiederkäuen.
Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: as the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
Das Kamel, den Klippdachs und den Hasen dürft ihr aber nicht essen. Denn sie sind zwar Wiederkäuer, haben aber keine gespaltenen Hufe oder Pfoten. Sie müssen bei euch als unrein gelten.
And the swine, though he divide the hoof, and be clovenfooted, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you.
Das Schwein hat zwar vollständig gespaltene Hufe, aber es ist kein Wiederkäuer; darum ist es für euch unrein.
Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.
Esst das Fleisch dieser Tiere nicht und berührt auch nicht ihre Kadaver! Sie sind für euch unrein!
These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat.
Von den Tieren im Meer, in den Flüssen und Seen dürft ihr alle essen, die Flossen und Schuppen haben.
And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
Aber alle Lebewesen im Wasser ohne Flossen oder Schuppen sind unrein!
They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination.
Ihr dürft sie nicht essen und auch nicht ihre Kadaver berühren. Von allem, was im Wasser lebt und keine Flossen oder Schuppen hat, sollt ihr euch voller Abscheu fernhalten!
And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray,
Folgende Vögel sollt ihr nicht anrühren und erst recht nicht essen, denn sie sind unrein: Gänsegeier, Lämmergeier, Mönchsgeier,
And the vulture, and the kite after his kind;
Gabelweihe und die verschiedenen Arten der Königsweihe,
And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
Strauß, Falke, Seemöwe, alle Habichtarten,
And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
Storch, alle Reiherarten, Wiedehopf und Fledermaus.
All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you.
Auch alle krabbelnden und fliegenden Insekten sollt ihr verabscheuen,
Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;
außer denen, die Sprungbeine haben und am Boden hüpfen.
Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind, and the grasshopper after his kind.
Ihr dürft also die verschiedenen Heuschreckenarten essen.
But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you.
Aber alle anderen Insekten sollt ihr verschmähen!
And for these ye shall be unclean: whosoever toucheth the carcase of them shall be unclean until the even.
Folgende Tiere dürft ihr nicht berühren, wenn sie verendet sind: jedes Tier, das geteilte, aber nicht vollständig gespaltene Hufe oder Pfoten hat und nicht wiederkäut, sowie alle Vierbeiner mit Pfoten. Sie alle sind unrein, und wer ihren Kadaver berührt, wird unrein bis zum Abend. Wenn jemand ihren Kadaver wegträgt, muss er seine Kleider waschen und ist bis zum Abend unrein.
These also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise after his kind,
Von den kleinen Tieren, die am Boden kriechen, sind für euch verboten: Maulwurf, Springmaus, alle Eidechsenarten, Gecko, Salamander und Chamäleon.
These are unclean to you among all that creep: whosoever doth touch them, when they be dead, shall be unclean until the even.
Sie alle sind unrein, und wer ihre Kadaver berührt, ist bis zum Abend unrein.
And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed.
Jeder Gegenstand, auf den der Kadaver eines dieser Tiere fällt, wird unrein, ganz gleich ob er aus Holz, Stoff, Fell oder Sackleinen gemacht ist, und ganz gleich, wofür er gebraucht wird. Legt ihn ins Wasser; bis zum Abend bleibt er unrein.
And every earthen vessel, whereinto any of them falleth, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it.
Fällt ein totes Tier dieser Art in einen Tontopf, wird alles darin unrein, und den Topf müsst ihr zerschlagen.
Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.
Jedes Essen, das mit Wasser aus solch einem Tonkrug zubereitet wurde, ist unrein, ebenso jedes Getränk aus solch einem Gefäß.
And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.
Alles, was mit einem Kadaver dieser Tiere in Berührung kommt, soll bei euch als unrein gelten. Handelt es sich um einen Backofen oder um einen kleinen Herd, muss er niedergerissen werden.
Nevertheless a fountain or pit, wherein there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcase shall be unclean.
Nur eine Quelle oder eine Zisterne, in der man das Wasser sammelt, bleibt rein. Doch wer das tote Tier berührt, das hineingefallen ist, wird unrein.
And if any part of their carcase fall upon any sowing seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean.
Fällt der Kadaver eines dieser Kriechtiere auf Saatgut, das gerade ausgesät werden soll, so bleibt dies rein.
But if any water be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcase fall thereon, it shall be unclean unto you.
Wurden die Samen aber mit Wasser befeuchtet, und es fällt dann ein totes Tier darauf, so werden sie unrein.
And if any beast, of which ye may eat, die; he that toucheth the carcase thereof shall be unclean until the even.
Wenn ein Tier, das ihr essen dürft, verendet, wird jeder bis zum Abend unrein, der den Kadaver anfasst.
And he that eateth of the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even: he also that beareth the carcase of it shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the even.
Wer von dem Fleisch isst oder den Tierkörper wegträgt, soll seine Kleider waschen und gilt bis zum Abend als unrein.
And every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten.
Alle kleinen Tiere, die sich am Boden fortbewegen, sollt ihr verabscheuen und sie auf keinen Fall essen,
Whatsoever goeth upon the belly, and whatsoever goeth upon all four, or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
ganz gleich ob sie auf dem Bauch kriechen oder auf vier oder mehr Füßen umherlaufen.
Ye shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled thereby.
Hütet euch davor, sie anzurühren, denn sonst werdet ihr in meinen Augen unrein und erregt meinen Abscheu!
For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott. Ihr sollt ein heiliges Leben führen, denn ich bin heilig! Verunreinigt euch nicht durch diese kleinen Tiere, die am Boden kriechen!
For I am the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
Denn ich bin der HERR, ich habe euch aus Ägypten herausgeführt, um euer Gott zu sein! Ihr sollt heilig sein, weil ich heilig bin!
This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:
Dies sind die Bestimmungen über das Vieh, die Vögel, die Wassertiere und die Kleintiere am Boden.
