An jenem Tag wird für das Haus David und für die Einwohner Jerusalems eine Quelle entspringen gegen Sünde und Unreinheit.
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.
An jenem Tag wird es sein — Spruch des HERRN der Heerscharen — , da werde ich die Namen der Götzen im Land ausrotten, sodass man sich nicht mehr an sie erinnert. Aber auch die Propheten und den Geist der Unreinheit werde ich aus dem Land vertreiben.
And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth.
Wenn dann noch einer als Prophet auftritt, werden sein Vater und seine Mutter, die ihn hervorgebracht haben, zu ihm sagen: Du sollst nicht am Leben bleiben; denn du hast im Namen des HERRN Lügnerisches geredet. Dann werden sein Vater und seine Mutter, die ihn hervorgebracht haben, ihn durchbohren, weil er als Prophet auftrat.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:
An jenem Tag wird es sein, da werden sich die Propheten schämen, ein jeder wegen seiner Vision, die er verkündet hat. Und sie werden den härenen Mantel nicht mehr anziehen, um sich zu verleugnen.
But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth.
Er wird sagen: Ich bin kein Prophet, ein Mann, der Ackerland bebaut, bin ich; denn ein Mensch hat mich erworben von Jugend an.
And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.
Wenn man dann zu ihm sagt: Was sind denn das für Spuren der Schläge zwischen deinen Händen?, wird er antworten: Ich wurde im Haus meiner Freunde geschlagen.
The Shepherd Struck, Sheep Scattered
Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith the LORD of hosts: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.

Schwert, erheb dich gegen meinen Hirten und gegen den Mann, der mir verbunden ist, — Spruch des HERRN der Heerscharen. Schlag den Hirten, dann werden sich die Schafe zerstreuen! Ich richte meine Hand gegen die Kleinen.
And it shall come to pass, that in all the land, saith the LORD, two parts therein shall be cut off and die; but the third shall be left therein.
Im ganzen Land wird es geschehen — Spruch des HERRN: Zwei Drittel darin werden vernichtet, sie werden umkommen. Aber ein Drittel wird darin übrig bleiben.
And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.
Das Drittel will ich ins Feuer werfen und ich werde sie läutern, wie man das Silber läutert, und werde sie prüfen, wie man das Gold prüft. Ja, es wird meinen Namen anrufen und ich werde es erhören. Ich werde sagen: Mein Volk ist es. Und das Volk wird sagen: Der HERR ist mein Gott.
