Es kommt der Tag, an dem der HERR über Jerusalem Gericht hält. Dann teilen eure Feinde mitten in der Stadt die Beute untereinander auf.
For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Ja, er lässt alle Völker vereint gegen Jerusalem in den Krieg ziehen. Sie werden die Stadt erobern, die Häuser plündern und die Frauen vergewaltigen. Die Hälfte der Einwohner wird verschleppt; der Rest darf weiter in der Stadt leben.
Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
Doch dann wird der HERR selbst gegen diese Völker in den Kampf ziehen, so wie er es schon früher getan hat.
And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
An jenem Tag wird er auf dem Ölberg im Osten von Jerusalem stehen. Der Berg wird sich von Osten nach Westen spalten, so dass zwischen seiner Nordhälfte und seiner Südhälfte ein breites Tal entsteht.
And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
In dieses Tal, das bis nach Azal reicht, werdet ihr fliehen, so wie eure Vorfahren zur Zeit des judäischen Königs Usija vor dem Erdbeben geflohen sind. Dann aber wird der HERR, mein Gott, in Jerusalem einziehen und alle seine heiligen Engel mit ihm.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
An jenem Tag gibt es kein Sonnenlicht, und die Gestirne am Himmel erlöschen.
But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
Es wird ein einzigartiger Tag sein, an dem es so dunkel bleibt wie in der Nacht. Doch am Abend erscheint neues Licht. Der HERR allein weiß, wann dies geschieht.
And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
In Jerusalem wird dann eine Quelle mit Leben spendendem Wasser entspringen; es fließt zur einen Hälfte ins Tote Meer, zur anderen ins Mittelmeer. Die Quelle führt das ganze Jahr über Wasser, auch im Sommer versiegt sie nicht.
And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
Wenn jener Tag da ist, wird der HERR König sein über die ganze Erde. Alle werden erkennen, dass er der einzige Gott ist, und nur noch seinen Namen werden die Menschen anrufen.
All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses.
Das ganze Land von Geba im Norden bis Rimmon südlich von Jerusalem verwandelt sich in eine Ebene. Nur Jerusalem bleibt erhöht und überragt das Land. Das Stadtgebiet erstreckt sich dann vom Benjamintor bis zum früheren Ecktor und vom Hananelturm bis zu den königlichen Weinkeltern.
And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited.
Die Stadt wird von neuem bevölkert sein, und ihre Einwohner werden in Ruhe und Sicherheit leben. Ja, Jerusalem wird nie wieder vernichtet!
And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.
Aber alle Völker, die gegen Jerusalem in den Kampf gezogen sind, wird der HERR mit einer furchtbaren Krankheit schlagen: Bei lebendigem Leib wird das Fleisch an ihrem Körper verfaulen; ihre Augen und Zungen werden verwesen.
And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour.
An jenem Tag stiftet der HERR große Verwirrung unter den Feinden, so dass einer über den anderen herfällt.
And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance.
Männer aus ganz Juda werden helfen, Jerusalem zu verteidigen. Bei ihren Nachbarvölkern machen sie reiche Beute: Unmengen an Gold, Silber und kostbaren Kleidern.
And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague.
Doch im Lager der Feinde wütet die schreckliche Seuche: Auch Pferde, Maultiere, Kamele, Esel und alle anderen Tiere werden daran erkranken.
All Nations will Worship the King
And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

Dennoch werden von den Feinden, die gegen Jerusalem gekämpft haben, einige überleben. Sie werden jedes Jahr gemeinsam nach Jerusalem ziehen, um dort das Laubhüttenfest mitzufeiern und den allmächtigen Gott als ihren HERRN und König anzubeten.
And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
Wenn aber irgendein Volk nicht nach Jerusalem kommt und den HERRN verehrt, wird auf sein Land kein Regen fallen.
And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Dies gilt für die Ägypter genauso wie für alle übrigen Völker: Sie alle wird Gottes Strafgericht treffen, wenn sie das Laubhüttenfest in Jerusalem nicht mitfeiern.
In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.
An jenem Tag wird auf den Schellen am Zaumzeug der Pferde eingeritzt sein: »Dem HERRN geweiht«. Die Kochtöpfe im Tempel werden dann genauso heilig sein wie die Opferschalen, die am Altar verwendet werden.
Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.
Ja, jeder Kochtopf in Jerusalem und in ganz Juda ist dann dem HERRN, dem allmächtigen Gott, geweiht: Die Menschen, die zum Tempel kommen, können in diesen Töpfen das Opferfleisch zubereiten. An jenem Tag wird es keine Händler mehr geben am Tempel des HERRN, des allmächtigen Gottes!
