Temple Destruction Foretold

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

1

Вийшовши, Ісус пішов від храму; Його учні підійшли до Нього, щоби показати Йому будівлі храму.

And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

А Ісус у відповідь сказав їм: Чи не бачите все це? Запевняю вас: не залишиться тут каменя на камені, який не буде зруйнований.

3

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Коли Він сидів на Оливній горі, до Нього на самоті підійшли учні, кажучи: Скажи нам, коли це буде і яка ознака Твого приходу та кінця віку?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

False Christs

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

бо багато хто прийде під Моїм Ім’ям, кажучи: Я — Христос! — і багатьох зведуть.

And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

6

Ви почуєте про війни і про чутки воєнні. Глядіть, не жахайтеся, бо має так статися; але це ще не кінець.

7

For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

7

Бо повстане народ проти народу, і царство піде на царство, і буде голод, [і пошесті], і землетруси в різних місцях,

8

All these are the beginning of sorrows.

8

та це все — лише початок страждань.

9

Witnessing to All Nations

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

9

Тоді видаватимуть вас на муки і вбиватимуть вас, і зненавидять вас усі народи через Моє Ім’я.

10

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

10

І тоді багато хто спокуситься, і одне одного будуть видавати, і зненавидять одне одного;

11

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

11

і повстануть численні лжепророки, і зведуть багатьох;

12

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

12

і через поширення беззаконня охолоне любов багатьох.

13

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

13

А той, хто вистоїть до кінця, буде спасенний.

14

And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

14

І це Євангеліє Царства буде проповідуватися по всьому світі на свідчення всім народам, — і тоді прийде кінець.

15

The Abomination of Desolation

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

15

Отже, коли побачите гидоту спустошення, що знаходиться на святому місці, провіщену пророком Даниїлом, — хто читає, нехай розуміє, —

16

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

16

тоді ті, хто в Юдеї, хай втікають у гори;

17

Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

17

хто на даху, хай не сходить узяти те, що в його домі,

18

Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

18

і хто на полі, хай не повертається назад узяти свій одяг.

19

And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

19

Горе ж вагітним і тим, хто годуватиме грудьми в ті дні.

20

But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

20

Тож моліться, щоб ваша втеча не сталася взимку або в суботу.

21

For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

21

Адже тоді буде велике горе, якого не було від початку світу дотепер, і не буде.

22

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

22

Коли б не були ті дні вкорочені, то не спаслася б жодна людина. Але заради вибраних ті дні будуть вкорочені.

23

Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

23

Тоді, коли хто вам скаже: Ось тут Христос! Або: Там! — не вірте.

24

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

24

Бо постануть лжехристи та лжепророки і будуть чинити великі ознаки й чудеса, щоби звести, якщо вдасться, навіть і вибраних.

25

Behold, I have told you before.

25

Ось я попередив вас!

The Return of the Son of Man

Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

26

Отже, коли вам скажуть: Ось Він у пустелі! — не виходьте; Ось Він у потайних кімнатах! — не вірте,

27

For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

27

адже як блискавка виходить зі сходу і з’являється аж на заході, таким буде й прихід Сина Людського;

28

For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

28

бо де буде труп, там зберуться орли.

29

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

29

Відразу по тих днях горя сонце померкне, і місяць не дасть свого світла, і зорі падатимуть з неба, і небесні сили захитаються.

30

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

30

І тоді з’явиться ознака Сина Людського на небі, і заголосять усі племена землі, і побачать Сина Людського, Який іде на хмарах небесних з великою силою і славою;

31

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

31

і з гучною сурмою Він пошле Своїх ангелів, і зберуть Його вибраних із чотирьох вітрів, з одного кінця неба до другого.

32

The lesson of the Fig Tree

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

32

Від смоківниці навчіться притчі: коли вже її бруньки стають м’якими і випускають листя, знаєте, що близько літо;

33

So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

33

так і ви, коли все це побачите, знайте, що близько, вже при дверях.

34

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

34

Запевняю вас: не мине цей рід, як усе це збудеться.

35

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

35

Небо і земля проминуть, а Мої слова не проминуть.

36

Be Ready at Any Hour

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

36

Про той же день і годину не знає ніхто: ані небесні ангели, ані Син, а тільки один Отець.

37

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

37

Адже так, як було за днів Ноя, таким буде прихід Сина Людського.

38

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

38

Бо так, як у ті дні перед потопом їли й пили, одружувалися і виходили заміж — аж до того дня, коли Ной увійшов у ковчег,

39

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

39

і ніхто не знав, аж ось прийшов потоп і забрав усіх, — таким буде і прихід Сина Людського.

40

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

40

Тоді двоє будуть у полі: один буде забраний, а один залишиться;

41

Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41

дві будуть молоти на жорнах: одна буде забрана, а одна залишиться.

42

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

42

Отже, пильнуйте, бо не знаєте, якого дня прийде ваш Господь.

43

But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

43

Тож пам’ятайте, що коли б господар знав, в яку сторожу приходить злодій, він пильнував би і не дав би підкопати свого дому.

44

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

44

Тому й ви будьте готові, бо Син Людський приходить тієї години, про яку й не думаєте.

45

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

45

Хто ж є вірним і мудрим рабом, якого поставить пан над своєю челяддю, щоби вчасно давати їм їжу?

46

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

46

Блаженний той раб, якого пан, коли прийде, знайде, що він так робить.

47

Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

47

Запевняю вас, що він поставить його над усім своїм маєтком.

48

But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

48

А коли той злий раб скаже у своєму серці: Мій пан запізнюється! —

49

And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

49

і почне бити своїх товаришів, а їсти й пити з п’яницями,

50

The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

50

то прийде пан того раба в день, в який не сподівається, і в годину, якої не знає;

51

And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

51

розітне його навпіл і визначить його долю з лицемірами; там буде плач і скрегіт зубів.
